The Bootcamp Mentors are proud to present a spotlight interview with Denyefa4  , author of Just Add Witches. Check out this writer's works and give them a shout out in the comments.

BCM: What prompted you to start writing on Wattpad and what do you like most about the platform as a writer?

Denyefa4: I got to know about Wattpad from a friend who was working on her first book on there, she had posted the link to her first chapter on her WhatsApp status and I saw it. At first I thought Wattpad needed to be activated with a token before I could be granted access (naive me lol), but she cleared me and put me through so I transferred my already existing chapters that I had written on my note app over to Wattpad.

What I like most about Wattpad is the community. It has helped me grow from being a rookie writer whose plot had holes as big as Africa to a well knitted author who is no longer scared of testing the waters of creativity, and sharing his works with the world.

BCM: How did you discover the Bootcamp Mentors and what have you found most valuable about this Wattpad community program?

Denyefa4: Honestly, I can't really remember how I discovered Bootcamp as it has been a while, but I think I saw it on someone's profile. I think on OwlieCat 's profile, I'm head over hills their books. So I had just finished the first book in their Heart's series and was thirsty for more so I stumbled upon their mentor wishlist book. What I've found most valuable is my mentor Mason masonfitzzy , she's the best anyone could ask for. But before I got accepted as a mentee, my fall back was the workshop usually held by Bootcamp admins, that has really helped me a lot so I value that a lot as well.

BCM: What motivated you to write the story you're working on with your mentor?

Denyefa4: So I live in a very homophobic country, and at first Just Add Witches was just supposed to capture the struggles of being in a relationship society frowns upon, and the effect it has on the person's involved. But now it has metamorphosed into something even more, as I implored different elements that has steered my book from its original goal to something even more entertaining.

BCM: If you had to describe your story in three words, what would they be?

Denyefa4: Funny, Dark, and lovable.

BCM: Tell us one thing about your writing process that has helped you the most.

Denyefa4: Well, when it comes to my writing process I find going back to read through my chapters really helpful. When I do this, I tend to pick out the things that I might have missed during my first edit. Also, giving people to criticize my work also helps my writing process, as I tend to see where I'm lacking and things get pointed out to me, things I may never have noticed on my own.

BCM: Share two Wattpad story recommendations.

Denyefa4: Okay, so I'm going to plead for three, just take it that I said it so fast that they all just got out. *inserts puppy dog eyes*
