The Bootcamp Mentors are proud to present a spotlight interview with lizaalewis Check out this writer's works and give them a shout out in the comments.

BCM: What motivated you to become a Bootcamp Mentor and what have you found most valuable about the program?

E.L.: The amazing Wattpad community has made me realize my dreams as well as cultivate my talents. I wanted to work with another passionate writer and help them sharpen their story and make it a star for the Wattys.

This program is great because it's a two way street. Not only do mentees get the benefit of a sounding board but mentors also learn so much a long the way!

BCM: What prompted you to start writing on Wattpad and what do you like most about the platform?

E.L.: Picture it. 2020. First lockdown. Local girl gets bored of making friendship bracelets. Decides she wants to write a story. BOOM. She finds Wattpad. The rest is history.

This sense of support and community on Wattpad is my favourite part of the platform.

BCM: Tell us one thing about your writing process that you've incorporated into your mentoring.

E.L.: Consistency in formatting! Plot and characters are vital to a good story but for readability sake, it's also important to have consistent formatting.

BCM: If you had to describe your mentee's story in three words, what would they be?

E.L.: Hilarious. Heartwarming. Healing. . . and Hawt.

BCM: Will you be entering a story into the 2022 Wattys? If so, what motivated you to write the story?

E.L. Lewis: I will be entering two mafia romances into the Wattys: MILO and Bloodlust. I saw a trend on Wattpad that dark romance was hot and decided to try my hand. It was super fun to write something other than a rom com and the journey definitely helped me find my voice.

BCM: Share two Wattpad story recommendations.
