19th April, 7:30 AM, Monday

I woke up from bed and did my morning routine. While doing my morning routine, I noticed that Dad wasn't home. He's probably at work, and so is Josh. My mom should be at work today, but usually, on Monday, she has to come to drive us back to school in the morning before she goes to her job when on the other days, it's the school bus that comes to drive us. It's normally her responsibility to drive us to Dad's home, to drive us to school on Monday, and to drive us back to her home.

After I finished my morning routine, I found out that Chris had woken up. Oh, and just to tell you, Mike has already left to go to his high school. Yes, his school begins earlier than mine and Chris's schools. Since his school is near our father's home, he doesn't need our mother to drive him to school on Monday.

While waiting for my brother to finish his morning routine, I heard a notification on my phone. I checked on my phone to see what it was, it was the woman who gave birth to me who sent me a text message. She wrote:

"Hey, sweetie. Sorry, I can't drive you and your brother today. But I've sent a taxi, he's on his way right now. The money is on the kitchen table, so you can pay him. Tell him that your brother is going to school while you're going home"

I wrote back

"Ok. But why can't you call one of your friends to pick us up?"

"My friends are very busy right now, so they won't make it"

I answered

"Ok then"

When Chris finally finished his morning routine and the taxi driver arrived, we left the house, told the taxi driver where we were going and he took off.

I wasn't sure what happened just now. I suddenly found myself waking up in a room, all white. I noticed that I was lying down on a white bed. Looking around, I see my Mom crying and Josh trying to comfort her. I also saw my Dad sitting next to me, holding my hand.

"Wh-where...am I?" I asked, in a weak voice.

They all looked at me with their eyes widened.

"Thank god you're ok..." said Dad, relieved, grabbing my whole arm and hugging it.

"What's...going on?" I asked, in the same weak voice.

They all stood silent. Then Dad looked at Mom in anger. I asked again, and this time, my father responded

"You were in a Taxi, with your little brother. Then suddenly, a car accident happened"

"Wait, what!?" I said, in shock.

"Yeah, and it's all your mother's fault," he continued.

"How?" I asked.

"Well, your mom was supposed to drive you back home before she goes to her job, but she instead decided to hang out with her friends in the morning before she goes to work. Since she was busy with her friends, she decided to send a taxi, which caused a car accident," my Dad answered.

Then, his hands turned into fists as he continued

"Even worse, once the bastard hit the taxi car, he ran away. We couldn't catch him. We only got the description of the car from the taxi driver, but we never got the numbers written behind the vehicle. The taxi driver mentioned that he didn't get the chance to see the numbers. So, we can't find the person who did this. There's not even a witness about this mess, except the taxi driver"

"Where's Chris?" I asked, in a weak and worried voice this time.

"He's...he's...in a coma..." the man next to me said, with a tear coming out.
