27th April, Tuesday, 8 AM
My phone alarm woke me up from bed once again, announcing to me that I had to go to school. After I stopped the alarm, I exited my bed to prepare my morning routine. While I was on my way to the bathroom, I saw my father brushing his teeth.
"Good morning, Dad," I said.
"..."
"Good morning, Dad" I repeated, wondering why he didn't respond a word to me.
Right after I repeated, he finished brushing his teeth. He left the bathroom and went to put on his jacket afterward. Yet, he still hasn't responded to me. I eventually figured out that he was still mad at me for what happened yesterday.
"I'm sorry, Dad...I shouldn't have done that...I know that it was a terrible idea, I shouldn't have lied to you..." I said, feeling guilty once again.
He stood silent for a moment, and then he spoke
"We'll talk about it later. You have school, and I have work"
I nodded. Then, he left the house. I realized that it would take more than just an apology to earn his forgiveness and calm his anger.
27th April, Tuesday, 11:30 AM
It hit lunch time, and I sat at the cafeteria table with Sabrina.
"Hey Sabrina"
"Hey Vicky"
"How are you?" I asked.
"Good, how about you?" she asked.
"...not good..." I answered, with honesty.
"Why?"
"Well, as I told you yesterday, my Dad knows everything now. So, he's extremely pissed off right now and not to mention, he made me shiver as he was speaking to me yesterday"
"Oh...that's not good..." she mumbled.
"Mmh..."
"Does your mom know?" she asked.
"I'm not sure. Maybe she knows but she's acting like she doesn't"
"Are you going to stop investigating?"
"No, I'm not. I'm not giving up. I have to know what this liar is hiding because if he's hiding something bad or illegal, it could bring harm to my family. Plus, he lied to me, so he definitely must have a secret"
"In that case, I'm not giving up either, I'm also going to help," the beautiful girl said.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Well, what are your plans this time?'
"I'm going to follow Vincent," I answered.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, I will," I said "Remember when I told you that Mom texted me, saying that I could go meet Vincent this Saturday? Well, on this day, after I meet him, I'll follow him afterward and find more hints from him"
"Ok then. But make sure that he won't suspect you," she warned.
"Don't worry, I'm prepared"
"You got caught when you spied on Josh the first time, but ok"
"Maybe I didn't on the other times," I responded.
"Alright, if you say so," she said "So, what's in it for me?"
"Well, since you're good at technology, I want you to make a tracker device. I'm planning that when I meet him, I'll put the tracker device on him. So, when I finish meeting him, I'll know his location so that I can follow him and see what he'll do. I also want you to build a walkie-talkie so that we can communicate on this mission."
"Sure, I can make them," she said.
"Thank you," I said.
"But how will you leave? You can't make excuses to your Dad because he doesn't trust you anymore, not after what happened..."
"Well, Dad has work this Saturday, so he won't know anything. So, I'll just sneak out of the house"
"What about your brothers?" Sabrina asked.
"Mike has to attend a birthday party of his friend of his. And Chris..."
I forgot about Chris, what will I do to him?
"I'll think about the situation with Chris, but that's my plan for now"
"Ok, no problem," the beautiful girl said, feeling positive about my plan.
"Good, it's settled then," I said, happy that she agreed with my plan.
"Be careful, ok?"
"Don't worry, I am careful" I said, confidently.
To be continued.
