Knox sipped a diet Coke. "I love your hair."
"My papers are green," Jo said too quickly. "Green, green, green."
Knox sat up in the booth, hands up. "Oh yeah. Mine too. Completely green."
"My hair is stubborn," she said, tugging on a curl. "The dye washes out no matter what I do."
Knox nodded his head decisively. "Yeah, I'm not a demon lover. Nothing like that. It's just, you're so brave, having any kind of red hair here."
Jo blushed, hid her eyes and pushed her auburn locks behind her ear.
