Aoibh knelt in the tall grass and sobbed. Everything around her was green and looked the same. She couldn't smell the Fortress. She had no idea where she was. She screamed as loudly as she could, but no one came.
"Dear Ren! Dear Ren, come save me," she sobbed. "Mam!"
The sky was starting to get dark. Dear Ren had a lock of her red hair in his hand.
"I was so scared," he said, crashing to his knees near her. "I thought I lost you."
"I just wanted to go out dancing. I wanted to hear the birds and make the wind howl." She gulped down her tears. "The Fortress is gone."
"Djehuty moved it. He thought you were in class with me and Laoshi."
Aoibh cried some more, so Dear Ren gave her a bit of cheese and a biscuit with jelly.
"If you want to go outside and play, just tell me. I'll go with you. No one will move the Fortress without me."
