Evie luxuriated in her husband's arms, snuggled against his body. The table lamp was on and Evie shifted to shut it off. Ren's lashes fluttered. His hair had lengthened to its usual style.
Evie touched the locks. "Go back to sleep, Zhangfu."
Ren pushed her to her back, his knees down between hers. "You shouldn't have disturbed me if you wanted me to sleep."
Evie giggled and wrapped her legs around Ren's waist. She touched his shoulders and arms, opened her mouth to his. He brushed the back of his hand and knuckles on her cheek.
After their coupling, Evie said, "You've become adept with your claws."
"It was necessary. I had to change nappies and Nianzang needed cuddles."
Evie rolled to her side, forced Ren to adjust his arms. "I needed cuddles."
"I'm sorry," Ren said, kissing her neck, sucking on the newly opened mark.
She stroked the leg hooked over her hip. "As long as you know what you did wrong."
He mewed in her ear.
