Aditya's pov
My eyes flickered open as bright sunlight filled my chamber. I got up from bed and walked to the window. When I opened it, a cool breeze brushed against my face, bringing a smile to my lips. I gazed outside, captivated by the beautiful view of the lakes. I stared at them for a while before returning to my bed.
I glanced at the clock.
"6 AM" I whispered to myself, and moved out of bed to get ready. Today was an important day, the success party for our new project. I had invited everyone: my employees, colleagues, business tycoons, friends, and of course, the press and media.
I headed to the bathing room and took a shower. After 20 minutes, I returned with a towel wrapped around my waist. I went to the dressing room to get ready. I put on a white kurta, a maroon overcoat, and embroidered brown juttis. I fastened my Rolex watch, applied my favorite cologne, and topped it off with my shahi pagdi and sword. I usually don't wear it, but today felt special.
Once I was ready, I left my room wearing a serious expression. The palace was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles, the lights and flames creating a warm glow. As I walked through the galleries, my attendees and bodyguards followed closely behind.I reached the living area, where attendees were rushing around, finishing last-minute preparations for the party.
I was welcomed by the sweet smile of Dadisa
"Adi, you're up and ready so early?" she asked, amusement on her face.
"Ji, Dadisa" I replied, bowing to touch her feet. She blessed me.
"I thought today you'd at least sleep in" she said.
"Dadisa, you know I can't change my routine. Every minute is important, and I don't want to waste time resting," I explained.
"Yeah, yeah, I know who I'm talking to" she replied, shaking her head slightly. I smiled and hugged her. After a moment, she pulled away and said, "By the way, you're looking handsome"
"Thanks for the compliment, Badi Ranisa" I said, kissing the top of her hand. She lightly patted my cheek and smiled.
"My child, I'm so happy today. You finally got the deal that made you skip meals and sleep" she said, worry evident in her voice.
"Dadisa, I'm fine. I'm not weak enough to fall apart just from missing a few meals and some sleep" I reassured her, and she playfully slapped my cheek.
"Why do you always say things like that? I don't like it at all. I know You're an all-rounder, but please don't say things like this" she said.
"I was just joking, Dadisa" I replied, and she hugged me lightly.
"Okay, Mr. Choudhary will be here any minute. I'll go check on everything" I said, breaking the hug. She kissed my forehead, and I smiled at her.
"Do you remember we have to go to Maa Durga's temple for blessings?" she asked.
"Yes, I remember" I replied, and she patted my shoulders before leaving.
