Part 16 ~ Don't tell me what to do

Suhani's pov

"Mr Rathore - ?" I processed to say but couldn't complete my sentence which got stuck in my throat

"You're not going anywhere and it's my order" He repeated as he started walking towards me , my heart started beating faster and faster , I should've closed the door beforehand but silly me....I forgot , he came and stood in front of me while I kept looking at him , totally unaware about the thing that was going to happen , his eyes emotionless , just like the way we first met!

My heart was racing , trying to come up with a plan to escape this situation . I couldn't think of anything, all I could do was stand there, facing Mr Rathore. My heart was pounding so hard, I thought it would burst out of my chest , My eyes got stuck on his tall frame leaning against the door , staring at me Intensely with a serious face , and I didn't know how do I respond... my words got stuck in my throat.

Mr. Rathore just stared at me for a few seconds, as if he was trying to read my thoughts ,Then he spoke after observing me for a good one minute " Dr Suhani , you know you can't just leave like that " He stated with his hoarse voice , I straightened myself before responding.

"Mr Rathore , I think It's better if I leave, don't you think I am causing you trouble?" I said with a little hesitation but didn't show it completely , deep down only I knew how scared I was.

(Suhani , Don't be afraid , you're not like that , you're brave , don't get fooled by his intimidating looks) I thought in my head while staring at him , It was looking like a staring contest between us two

"You're a hard working and dedicated Doctor and you can't leave your patient hanging in the middle like that" he continued as he started to come closer to me , my heart was bursting and I didn't know how to react , All I knew was I was being such an irresponsible person who was creating problems in his life.

"but my team is here" I said.

"You're Right" he said , his eyes intense and voice somewhat calmer than before

"Huhh ?" I asked and he nodded , I also nodded

"See , You also think that way and that's why I've taken this decision" I said shrugging and shaking my head with an obvious answer

"What you have said is absolutely correct  Dr Suhani, you are a little bit troublemaker , but I like a little bit of a challenge . And you , you are like a challenge" he said smirking with the intention to tease me.

"I'm sorry Mr Rathore  but I don't understand what you mean by that " I said hoping to diffuse the situation.

" You are the only person ever who has ever tried to speak up against me , I know you're sometimes intolerant but that's the least I can do for Dadisa , she needs you right now and you can't leave like that" he stated taking a step closer , now we were only 1 feet apart , his tall frame overpowering my tiny one.

"If you want , I can pay you triple than you earn" He stated and I found my blood boiling already

"Mr Rathore....You can't buy everything with your god damn money , and for your kind information I earn more than I need and want , I work in one of the top hospitals in India , so please , don't show off your money in front of me , I consider my job a lot above than money , The love and respect I get from the strangers is enough and that is the most valuable thing in my eyes , not the double pay check or anything" I burst out at him and saw his facial expressions changed within a second , from the dominant one to a little concerning.

I didn't know why I got so angry but When he said that I felt it as an insult , when I looked up once again , I found him already staring at me with a serious face , his expressions were somewhat mysterious
