Aditya's Pov
I hung up the call and scanned my surroundings.
"Where is Mr. Choudhary?" I asked my bodyguard.
"Sir, he went with Dr. Suhani" he replied.
I nodded, processing the information. "Go and inform him that I've called for him" I ordered, my voice as rough and sharp as ever.
He nodded and promptly left to relay the message.
After sometime
"Sir, aapne bulaya?" Mr. Choudhary asked as he approached, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern.
(sir, you called?)
"Yes, Mr. Choudhary" I replied, turning back to my phone.
"Cancel all my meetings until the day after tomorrow. I won't be coming to the office for at least three days. If you need anything regarding the projects or meetings, reach out to me as soon as possible. I'll be handling work from home. For any signatures on files, send them through Mr. Choudhary to the palace" I instructed, my tone firm. I noticed Mr. Choudhary's shocked expression as I spoke.
"Alright, sir. Is Ma'am fine?" my manager inquired from the other end of the line. I glanced at Mr. Choudhary, whose worried expression mirrored my own concerns.
"Yes, she is" I stated, my voice steady. After hanging up, I turned my attention back to Mr. Choudhary.
"What are you thinking?" I asked.
"Pardon, sir, but you've never taken a single leave from work, even when you're sick. But..." he hesitated, clearly nervous.
"Mr. Choudhary, Dadisa needs me by her side. I can't leave her alone. Work can wait. there are others who can manage it. I don't want to leave her at this state when she needs me the most" I explained sincerely, my eyes softening at the thought of her. He nodded lightly, a warm smile spreading across his face.
"Well, I have to talk to the doctors. Where are they?" I asked, shifting my focus.
"Sir, they're having their dinner. They'll be here shortly" he informed me.
"Alright," I replied. "In the meantime, please handle the press and media. They're creating too much noise here, which isn't good for Dadisa or the other patients"
"Yes, sir, I'll take care of it" he affirmed before leaving.
"Mr. Pankaj, handle the crowd downstairs. Make sure no one reaches the fifth floor" I instructed one of my bodyguards. He nodded and left with three others, leaving just two with me.
"You guys, eat something," I said, and they nodded before departing as well.
after some time...
"I hope we didn't disturb you, Mr. Rathore" a familiar yet distant voice reached my ears. I turned around to see her—Dr. Suhani Chauhan—accompanied by her team members.
