23 Finally

In the morning after the nightly adventure of Princess Aera her mother wakened her softly.

"Aera my dear, time to get up" her mother said with a loving voice while she softly squeezed her daughter's arm.
"Mhh, please let me sleep" she replied and pulled her blanket over her face.
"I've got your favorite breakfast" Maesera said and her daughter pushed the blanket out of her smiling face. "Your father and I will meet you on the courtyard later"
"Alright" the Princess yawned and looked to her coat that is still laying on the chair.
'It wasn't a dream?' She asked herself in her mind.

Her mother went out of her daughters chambers with a light chuckle.

The Princess got herself ready and ate the food her mother had placed on her table.
She braided her hair and went outside.

Maesera and Thranduil were waiting for her and as soon as she was in the courtyard they heard a screamed roar out of the clouds.
Aera's parents looked surprised because their daughter seems to know who this scream belongs to.

Out of the clouds came the black young dragon that Aera can now call hers.
Blackpearl landed beside her and left the King and the Queen stunning.
"Mother, Father this is Blackpearl. I have met her last night when I couldn't sleep."
"She looks young, could be at your age eventually, we're proud my dear" her mother praised her, Blackpearl stepped forward to breath in the smell of the dragon Queen and the elven King.
But as Maesera wanted to reach out to the young dragon she breathed a small flame out to warn her.
"Lykirī" the Princess said, the dragon huffed and flew away.
"Your brother will be jealous, you have tamed one of the wild dragons" Thranduil smiled and stroke over his daughter's hair.
Aera smiled. "Blackpearl was the only one that came to me and obeyed when I spoke"

The family went in to pack everything they took with them to go home again.
The dragon Queen and the King were happy that their daughter finally has a dragon.

While they weren't in Mirkwood Prince Legolas had to rule their Kingdom. Lily helped him a bit, not that he wouldn't know what to do but she knew a lot from Maesera before she has gone mad.
They all knew that Maesera was a good Queen and a even more loving mother but everyone has to be careful which buttons they are pressing. One wrong tone or word, she turns into the merciless dragon she was born.

Her children never had seen the mad side of their mother, her husband did from time to time, her stepson has seen just a bit and Lily experienced it on her own body.

When Legolas saw two dragons in the night sky he went to Lily's chambers.
"Lily, love wake up" he said and stroke gently up her arm.
"Did something happen?" She asked and looked at him with tired eyes.
He smiled and answered "Our three family members are coming back. With two dragons"
"Perfect, don't be mad but I didn't sleep well last night" Lily said and closed her eyes again.
"Sure, they'll understand as much as I do, sleep well" the Prince said and walked out of her chamber silently.

The dragon Queen, her husband and their daughter arrived at the palace and were welcomed by Legolas "Welcome home"
Aera landed her dragon behind her parents and said "I finally have a dragon brother"
"I see, he looks gorgeous" Legolas smiled as he saw his little sister's happy face.
"Let's get in, you all must be tired" The Prince said and Thranduil laughed "we were at Dragonstone for three days and you already behave like a king"
"I have learned a lot from you and mother" he replied and smiled at Maesera, her heart skipped a beat out of happiness, her stepson called her 'mother' after this long time.
The family went inside and talked a lot.

Princess Aera was tired so she went to sleep. But didn't found any peace in it, she saw terrible things and it felt so real.

In the next morning she told her adoptive sister Lily about it.
Aera said "Lily, I'm scared, can those horrible things really happen? Are we going to loose them?"
Lily looked at her and answered "No, in the end dreams are just dreams"
After this conversation Lily teaches her sister more High Valyrian.

Thranduil and Maesera spend the time with Saera and told her Storys and how the dragons choose their rider.

Legolas was teaching Aerys the basics of holding and using a sword correctly.

The little family was happy but Aera was still thinking about her dream.
In the evening she looked for her mother and found her in the library.
"Mom? Can I have a word with you?" She asked and her mother laid away the book she held.
"Sure, sweety, what bothers you?"
"I- had a dream, I saw dragons falling from the skies, Legolas how he tries to protect Lily and Aerys sat your throne."

Well well, that's how it ends for now.
It actually wasn't even planned that this book ends here now.😂
I'll write a second book and I will translate this book into German too so that everyone can read it.
