"Emmmmmber," Max sang. "Ember Angelus, get up."
She groaned and rolled over onto the other side of the bed, tossing a pillow over her face.
"Ember," Max said this time. "Come on, Sweetheart. It's almost eight, and I have the entire day planned." He shook her again when she didn't respond, earning a groan. "Come on. Get up."
"Do I have to...?" she muttered in annoyance.
"Do you want to be tickled?" he countered with a brow raised.
She shot him a look. "No."
"Then, yes," he smiled, "you have to."
Ember rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Fine, I'm up."
When she was first getting to know him, he made a similar threat, and when she thought he was bluffing...
