It's Miguel.

God damn it Miguel! All I want is to be happy.

I turn over to Peter, he stopped in the middle of his tracks. He can sense it too. "Peter, we need to go. Now." He nods, knowing not to question further.

I grab my slice of pizza, put my hood on and take a bite. "We can't swing away or he will notice us. We need to act like normal civilians." I tell him as I open the door. We continue to eat our pizza as we walk aimlessly around New York City.

"I know a good hiding place." Peter says while also putting his hood on. He guides me down to the subway station. We jump over the ticket booth and head to the giant map on the wall.

"When I was investigating my dad and who he was, I was able to find this hidden lab. Whoever is chasing us won't be able to find us there." Peter says, I nod. "When the next train comes by, we need to attach to the back of it. Do not get off until I say so, okay?" "Okay." I look at him more nervous than ever.

He grabs my hand, we walk towards the tracks. We head towards the front of the tracks. I stand behind the yellow line. I look around at the grimy, green, tiles. I watch the people walk down and up the stairs.

I sense the train coming. I look at Peter and he nods at me, telling me without saying that he knows it's coming too. I tighten my grip on his hand. In response, he just rubs my hand with his thumb. How can an act so small, calm me down so much?

The train comes by and stops. The doors open and people flood in and out. We stand in the corner, still facing the tracks. Finally, the doors close. The train starts to move, slow, fast, faster, and faster. Peter let's go of my hand to web to the train, I do the same.

We stick ourselves to the back of the train away from the windows so no one would see two people stuck onto a train car. He taps my hand, I look at him still as nervous as before. He raises his hand and points up one finger indicating it's almost time.

I position myself to get ready to jump off. Peter looks to the side of him, also getting ready to jump.

He jumps off and I trail right behind him. When I land, I stumble, Peter catches me. "Just need to walk a little and then we will be there." I silently nod to him. I'm so scared and anxious that I can't even talk.

He hold my hand the entire walk there. We pass a sign that says Roosevelt. It was red, it stood out to the aqua, blueish, green backdrop of the abandoned train stop.

Peter lets go of my hand to hit a button. The button is hidden in a wall of beige bricks. Once he does that, the tracks in front of me starts to separate to reveal a train car turned into a lab.

I look at him in awe, "So this was your dads?" "Yep." He says, stepping inside of the red train car. I walk around looking at all of the old fashioned technology. Cobwebs invade the space along with some critters.

I sit down on one of the chairs that hasn't been turned into a desk. I'm exhausted. I've had a rollercoaster of emotions these passed few days. I place my head on my hand and lean against the post next to me. Peter sits across from me. We stare at each other for a few minutes.

I smile at him, "What?" I can't get it out without giggling. "Nothing, I just never would've thought I would be in this situation." "We are spider people, nothing is ever surprising anymore." I snort.

"That's true, but I meant I never though I would take anyone down here." he says calmly while looking around. He scoots forward and places his elbows on his knees. "And why is that Peter Parker?" I mimic his position.

He laughs, "I-I just have never really had the urge. But I feel like I need to tell you everything.." there was a pause, "but in a good way." he finishes. I smile at him, sitting back in the seat crossing my legs.

"I feel the same." I say looking outside the window into nothingness. After a moment my watch buzzes. I jump, uncrossing my legs and moving my sleeve out of the way. Why is it beeping?

Then I see a map, there's a red dot that isn't moving and then there is a blue one that's moving. Moving fast. I start to panic. "What's wrong, y/n?" Peter moves next to me, looking at my watch.

"He's tracking me." I say in disbelief. I remove my gaze from my watch and onto Peter, "We need to remove the tracker."

We rush over to a work station filled with tools. I remove the watch from my wrist. It's been so long of me wearing this watch that it leaves an indent on my arm. We start to pick it apart. More like Peter does and I watch in horror thinking about what Miguel will do to me if he finds me.

I need to sit down, my head is racing. I take a step back and lean on another work bench adjacent to Peters. After some tinkering. He lifts up a chip.

"Found it! He really hid it hard." He turns to me and places it in my hand. "Peter we need to leave here now. He knows we are here so he'll..." I'm interrupted by my spider senses telling me he's already here.

I grab the tracker, place it in my pocket. I grab Peter's hand. I guide him out of the train. He presses the same button to make the lab disappear. "Peter get us out, he's coming." I said in a hurry.

He starts running on the tracks. He looks at me, "Time to swing." I nod. We start launching ourselves through the train tunnel until we get to a stop. The people look at us in horror as we get up to the platform and start walking normally.

I remove the tracker from my pocket and place it in my hand, I web it to the train tracks to get run over. We walk towards the exit. I hear a train come behind me, I look back, it's definitely broken.

I whisper to Peter, "I think it's safe to web around." He smiles at me, he's been waiting for me to say that. We lift ourselves up by grabbing onto nearby buildings, projecting ourselves further and faster.

After a while, we landed on the Chrysler Building. Peter landed first, walking over to the edge and sitting down. "Didn't you say this was you're favorite spot to think?" I ask when I landing, "Yeah, I did say that." he responded, still staring out onto the busy city streets.

I walk over next to him and sit down. Leaning my head on his shoulder. "I wish I could stay here forever." I said, I surprised myself when my voice cracked. I cover my mouth with my hand to stop myself.

Peter wraps both his arms around me, I start to cry. So much crying. He puts his chin on my head. He lets me sit there sobbing into his shirt, it's drenched by the time I let go.

I sniffle, "I-I knew it wasn't going to work out but...but I wanted to try anyway. I really like you Peter and it pains me thinking about being away from you." He looks at me with his puppy dog eyes, I see tears in them. "I like you a lot
too y/n."

I smile. "And this can work out! As you said, nothing is glitching so this has to be fate or destiny." I nod my head while willing away my tears.

"I think I've cried more times in my life these past few days then I have ever in my
life." I say sniffling and giggling.

Peter chuckles while holding me again.

"You know we can't run away from him for forever, right?" I say to him. "Yeah, I know. But we had a lot of fun doing it." I agree.

Peter releases me from his arms and grabs mine. He smiles, "What if we went to Peter 2's universe! You don't have the tracker anymore, and we can just stay there for a day or two until Miguel realizes you're not here." Peter suggests.

This is crazy.

"Peter this is crazy, I have a duty with the Spider Society. I can't just abandon them." I say. "Y/n, you are a hero wherever you go. Miguel has so many Spider people doing whatever he wants. You should be able to write your own story now. Peter also said his door is always open." he finishes with a smile.

I look at him. I look down at my bag. I can't believe this.

I open up the bag and search through it. Found it. The crumbled paper from Miguel's office floor. I open it to see our universes next to a picture of each of us. Mine is in red, while the others are in black. I type in the numbers next to Peter 2.
