"Ayaw po gumana ng card niyo, Miss," sabi ng cashier sa akin pagtapos nito i-swipe iyon.

I'm here in the local coffee shop, waiting for my groupmate to arrive. We plan to meet here to do our group activity.

I frowned. "Try it again, please," I said and smiled at her.

Ginawa niya ulit. Pagtapos ay bumaling siya sa akin. Bigo siyang tumingin. "Ayaw pa rin po, e."

That's weird. Hindi pa natransfer ni Daddy ang allowance ko para sa buwan na ito? Pero tumango na lamang ako sa cashier.

"It's okay. I'll pay in cash na lang," at nilabas ang wallet mula sa bag ko.

"Okay, Miss..."

Inabot ko sa cashier ang bayad bago niya binigay ang sukli at order ko. Pumuwesto ako sa parteng glass na pader ng shop. While waiting, I opened my phone to text Zamiro to update him.

Me:

I'm here in Kaldi Café.
I'm just waiting for my groupmate to arrive.

Zamiro immediately texted me back.

Zamiro:

Be safe. Update mo ako kapag natapos na kayo.

Me:

Okay! Anong ginagawa mo na ngayon?

Zamiro:

I'll be attending another meeting with Engineer Tan.

Ngumuso ako. Meeting na naman kasama ang engineer na iyon. I pouted more when I remembered how I got shocked when I saw the mysterious new assistant project manager. Sherwin was right, Engineer Diana Tan is older than us but she's so gorgeous.

She has big boobs and a coca cola type body every woman would die for. I'm taller than her though but she's not too small. Sakto lang. And the way she carries herself, speaks so much volume. Kaya naman tuwing sinasabi ni Zamiro na pinapa attend siya ni Daddy ng meeting kasama ang engineer na iyon, ibang meeting palagi ang pumapasok sa isip ko.

Lalo't na hindi pa rin nabubura sa isip ko ang sinabi ni Sherwin na baka gusto nito si Zamiro.

Me:

What time kayo matatapos?

Minutes passed by, Zamiro didn't reply to me again. Kaya muli ko siyang tinext.

Me:

You're probably in the meeting na.
I'll update you later.

Halos thirty minutes na ako naghihintay at kahit niisang kagrupo ay wala pa ring dumating. I licked my lower lip and started typing in our group chat. Asking them where they are now. I saw them online but no one 'seen' my chat. I exhaled slightly. Then I waited another half hour but no one really arrived.

Nacancel ba ang practice namin ngayon? Bakit hindi man lang ako nirereply-an? For unknown reasons, girls in our room didn't like me. Lalo na iyong matatalino. I don't see them as a competitor though when it comes to academics. Because I know to myself I'm not really that smart.
