"I heard from your Kuya Miro na hinatid ka raw ni Mrs. Delina gamit ang limousine nila. Is that true, Rian?" Daddy asked me in the morning.

"Yes, Dad. She offered to accompany me. We also ate and shopped together," pagkwento ko.

"I'm glad about that. May na sabi ba siya sa'yo?"

In my peripheral vision, I saw Zamiro stiffen. O baka guni-guni ko lang iyon.

"Wala naman. We chitchat and talk about things we are interested in. She's fun to be with, Dad," I smiled, remembering my laughs with Mrs. Delina last week.

At first glance, Mrs. Delina is a type of person with a poker face. That's why I thought she was unapproachable but since, her husband is Mr. Theodore Delina—who is approachable, I know she's a good person too.

Her presence even reminds me of someone.

I stole a glance at Zamiro.

"What's so good about a woman who can't help her husband in their businesses? Spend money, I guess," my mother commented.

I gritted my teeth silently.

"She also invited me to her tea party that will be held next week," I added, ignoring my Mom's remarks.

"Oh, yeah. Nakalimutan ko sabihan ka, hija. You should attend that with Rafaela."

Natigilan ako. Kasama ko pa talaga si Rafaela? So, uuwi siya next week dito? That thought already exhausted me. I exhaled slightly and nodded at my father.

"Socialize well and don't create any embarrassing moments there, Rian," Mom reminded me.

I'm quite excited about that tea party. How we can help women in need to boost their confidence, how to avoid early pregnancy at a young age, how to enhance their ability, skills, and knowledge, and what opportunity we can give to them.

She wants to get information, ideas, and experience from us directly. That's why the whole week I'm looking forward to that.

"Huh?"

Next week pa deadline no'n, ah?

"What?!" gulat kong wika.

Minove ang deadline ngayon? At GC?

I double checked my messenger.
