It felt like a deja vu.

It felt like I've seen this scene before.

Pakiramdam ko ay bumalik ako sa high school noon kung saan may crush ako kay Zamiro. Tapos siya ang minsang substitute teacher sa aming klase.

I can't believe it. I never expected to see him again under these circumstances. I have shared expectations where I'd see him again—I imagined we might run into each other at an airport when I was traveling for a modeling job and he was on a work trip abroad.

Isa iyon sa mga inaasahan ko, hindi sa ganitong senaryo. Paano siya naging teacher? He's one of the best engineers today! He's probably too busy about his own firm to even teach in a school. Kaya paanong nangyari narito siya sa harap ko at nagtuturo?

I feel like destiny is playing a game with me right now. Habang nakataya ang batang puso ko noon.

"You've been spacing out, Rian. What are you thinking?"

I blinked then looked at Rich. Nagtaas siya ng kilay at ngumiti.

"Nothing important, Rich. Random thoughts lang."

"You know you can always tell me what's bothering you, but if you're uncomfortable, I won't force you."

This is why I like Rich Gonzalez better than Sam Smith. He knows when to back off and his line. We're co-workers and friends but it doesn't mean he could cross the line anytime, unlike Sam who always forced me.

Kaya naman hindi ko na rin pa binibigyan pansin ang mga texts niya sa'kin. Hindi rin kasi ako natuwa nang tanungin siya sa mga reporter tungkol sa status naming dalawa. He didn't deny or said no to their question. Instead, he gave them a meaningful but mysterious answer, just like how usually celebrities answer the question when asked about their love life.

It annoyed me. Kaya hindi ko na siya pinapansin.

"Thanks, Rich. I'll ask you when I need advice," I smiled.

"Bakit hindi na lang kasi kayo, Miss Rian? Bagay naman kayo ni Rich!" sambit ni Lena habang inaayusan si Rich.

"We're just friends, Lena. Right, Rich?"

"Yes. We're just friends," sagot agad ni Richard.

See? Madali siya kausap. Hindi katulad ni Sam.

"Pero bagay naman kayo! Parehong pang 'R' nagsisimula pangalan niyo! Para na rin matigil pang iintriga sa'yo ng mga reporters at mga fans ng kabilang kampo!"

"Don't give her ideas, Lena. Baka himatayin si Sir Leo kapag narinig 'yang sinabi mo," si Nica na inaayusan naman ang mukha ko.

"Nagbibigay lang ambag! Para naman mabawasan na scandal ni Miss Rian at matigil na rin pamimilit ni Sam sa kaniya."

"Sam is forcing you?" serysosong tanong ni Rich.

I shook my head. "Nanliligaw lang pero minsan nga ay mapilit."

"That's not good. You should tell him to back off if he's making you uncomfortable."

"I already told him that. He's a good friend din naman kaya pinabayaan ko na."

"Kaya dapat talaga magka boyfriend ka na, Miss Rian, para tantanan ka ni Sam! Pati na rin ng mga baliw na fans ni Janine!" papupumulit ni Lena sa ideya niya.

"I don't think I need a man to clear up my scandals and issues. People are just quick to judge. Kahit magboyfriend pa ako, hahanapin pa rin nila ako ng butas dahil sa galit nila sa akin."
