James came back to CatCo to work, still feeling jittery from his last panic attack... the last one caused him to see over 500 feet away as if things were right in front of him, for him to hear things from across the room like things were being shouted, and for him to bust a lamp with the squeeze of his hand. He disregarded this for now because he knew Lena's serum was intended to give humans superpowers, but if he cannot gain control of these 'superpowers,' he knows he has to say something..
"Kara?" James questioned when he saw the reporter walk out of the elevator. He set down the many papers in his hands about Supergirl. He had gathered them in hope's of writing a paper about all the good she's done, a way to prove to the public that she would never attack the White House, and that whoever did, was some imposter. James stepped out of his office to confront her, "I thought you said you'd be out today? You know, for the important interview you have with," he gulped, then glanced at the window in his office that Kara had written all over and placed pictures on, "AmerTek," he said quietly.
"I'm not here for work..., James Olsen," Kara replied vaguely and quietly. The mention of AmerTek seemed to strike a nerve... but why did it if Kara was supposed to be there right now? James thought that to himself. Kara looked around the entire floor where people were working, some trying to eavesdrop on her and James' conversation. The blonde said very loudly this time, so that everyone could hear, "I am here as a confrontation!"
Nia was sitting across from Franklin's desk. She and him were the most confused. Only about twenty minutes ago, before everyone came into work, Kara said she was going to AmerTek... Kara would not just back out on a lead. She shouldn't be here right now. And she wouldn't be. More people stood up from their seats, making it easier to see rather than trying to sit and look over their monitors. Nia whispered to Franklin, "Something's off..." Someone even pulled out a camera to record because they have never seen their coworker act this way. They sensed something bad possibly happening, which would definitely be worth the story.
Kara smirked in a weirdly menacing way... A way she never had before, "Why continue to stand in secret when there's nothing to be afraid of?" She finished, then suddenly, what none of them expected, she flew up through the roof, causing everyone to either gasp or yell in surprise. James shielded his head from the falling pieces of the ceiling, then stumbled back, feeling his heart race and the sounds of a gunshot echo in his head, along with the current sounds of the people at CatCo. He felt everything coming close together as his vision seemed to zoom in on everybody else. He fell back into his desk, more pressure on it then he realized, and causing it to break.
When Kara came back through the hole she made in the roof, she landed roughly, causing everyone to feel the vibration in the floor, and she was wearing Supergirl's suit... and no longer had her glasses on. She looked at the camera someone was recording with and smirked, "I am Supergirl," Then she immediately used heat vision, aiming it at everyone across the room, except the person with the camera. On purpose.
Nia grabbed onto Franklin's shoulder after walking around to the other side of his desk, and brought him to the ground to avoid the heat vision.
James struggled to push himself up, as everything felt like it was shaking. He felt out of control. He stumbled at a slow pace towards Kara. Her heat vision was so bright to his eyes, and the sounds of it burning the surface of the people's skin it touched and the wood of the desks it burned rang in his ears. He put the palms of his hands over his ears to try and block out the noise, "Stop!" He clenched his teeth and forced his eyes slightly open to see her stop using her heat vision, and suddenly turn around and come flying at him, and bringing him with her through the window of his office where Kara had mapped information on Lex. The entire window shattered, and Supergirl let go of James in the air. He yelled as he fell with little breath, "You're! Not Supergirl!" He felt like the gravity pulling him down was stronger than ever to the point it felt like a weight on his chest, making it difficult to breathe. He managed to open the flip on his watch and press the button to signal the real Supergirl.
