L-Corp: Entrance

"James, just an hour or less at the D.E.O to make sure Alex is okay will have a minimal effect on the amount of time it will take to create the nanotech necessary. And if Alex comes back with me, she can help make the process happen faster," Lena explained. She furrowed her eyebrows and said in a guilt-filled voice, "I already feel terrible enough that she has been stuck dealing with that imbecile, Ben Lockwood, by herself," She wasn't going to leave a friend with such a terrible man longer than she had to. Not willingly at least.

Before James could retaliate, someone showed up on the other side of the entrance doors. She was about to open it herself, but Lena walked over and opened the door for her. "Lena Luthor? Thank god you're okay." The girl said in a sigh of relief. "James Olsen? So you weren't kidnapped?" She was holding a set of files under her arm. "My name's Edna," she offered her hand out to Lena, who slowly shook it in confusion. "Is there a place we can talk? In private?"

Lena glanced over at James, thinking that this was somehow correlated with his attempt to keep her from leaving the building, but he seemed just as confused as she was. Edna added, quietly so the other people walking around didn't hear, "It's about Supergirl."

"Follow me," Lena stated, then led her and James back up to her office and into the elevator that led to her private lab. As soon as they were down at the lab, Edna walked out, surprised to see Supergirl lying unconscious on a medical bed.

Brainy questioned immediately in alarm, walking away from Supergirl and over to Edna, Lena, and James, "What is she doing here? Who is she?"

"I can see there is a lot of explaining that needs to be done," Edna muttered, staring at Supergirl. "And how wrong they were about you being a target," she said to Lena while still looking at Supergirl. It looked like Lena was helping her.

Lena grabbed Edna's arm and turned her around to face her, "Target? What are you talking about, Edna?"

"Look, I just wanted to let you know that they have it all wrong. Kara Danvers is not Supergirl," Edna said so confidently, but Lena was just confused. James, Brainy and Kelly glanced at each other as soon as Edna said that. So much for keeping Lena in the dark about the whole news situation... "I was with Kara at AmerTek when everything went down at CatCo, she asked me to get these files to help with a lead about your brother..." Edna pulled out the files from under her arm.

"I'm sorry, but what on earth are you talking about? What happened at CatCo??" Lena questioned Edna, then looked over to James. Edna seemed to think that he was kidnapped before seeing him?

"You haven't seen the news?" Edna questioned in surprise.

"No, I have been held up in my lab all day...," Lena responded. She tilted her head and gave Edna an interrogative look, waiting for an explanation.

"Supergirl...," Edna turned over to the unconscious Kryptonian, then looked back at Lena, "I don't know why, but she was pretending to be Kara, and she attacked everyone at CatCo, then kidnapped James Olsen," Edna shrugged hesitantly, "Or so everyone thought...?"

"Supergirl didn't attack anyone." James shook his head and waved his hand down as a gesture of 'no.' "And she didn't attack the White House either. We don't know how it's being done, but someone is trying to make her the villain." He continued, "Whoever attacked at CatCo, had every intention of killing me when dropping me from the top of the building. Then, the real Supergirl flew in and saved me. I told her to get us out of there and bring me here, which she did." He took a few steps forward, "But she was shot in the process... And now we're here..." James looked over to Kara, worrying more about her state.

"So you're saying that not only is there an imposter trying to make Supergirl the villain, but this imposter for some reason wants people to believe that Kara Danvers is the real Supergirl? But why? What does the fake get out of it? Unless...," Edna looked at Lena, "She was looking into your brother—."
