Lore: Retsu Unohana is one of the few Shinigami that came from the time of the start of the 13 Court Guard Squads, she was the first Kenpachi though she was initially called Yachiru Unohana, she was a bloodthirsty woman in her youth and desired to fight, even developing medical Kido, the first of its kind as a way to heal herself and her opponent to get as much as she can out of the fight but her first encounter with a young Zeraki would cause her to lose her title to someone else and form Squad 4 as well as teaching those who joined her squad the art of medical kido and essentially became the doctor the court guard squads needed at the time.

Territory Creation: A: Retsu was hailed to be the founding captains to two separate squads with the first being squad 11 where she founded it as a pure combat only squad and as a way to find worthy opponents to fight then squad 4 where she founded it as the sole squad to produce medical personnel.

Unohana can build two types of territory for the duration of her stay in the world which one replicates the dojo that she had during her time in Squad 11 which enhances training which accelerates the end result with less energy.<br />

And the second territory would be recreating her medical room that she once headed over during her time as the captain of Squad 4, this territory allowed Retsu to treat any form of injury or disease with maximum efficiency and can heal essentially anything so long as she is within the Territory.

Item Construction: D: Retsu isn't known for creating items like some of the other captains but she can create medical items to better assist in her medical proficiency.

Personal Skills-

"I have mastered all forms of Kido in my day, but back when I called myself Yachiru Unohana, I preferred fighting with my sword but those days are behind me"

Kido: A+ : Retsu had mastered all forms of Kido which was the spiritual side of Magecraft that only reapers were capable of utilizing, Retsu favored more on Bakudo due to Unohana crafting numerous healing spells which is applied throughout the Captain's daily life and having taught all these healing techniques to all of her subordinates in Squad Four but she still possesses high proficiency in utilizing the rest of the created Kido spells.

"I may have stopped fighting personally in my later years but my skill with the blade hasn't rusted at all, so when push comes to shove master, I'm not afraid to get bloody again."

Swordsmanship: D: Retsu may not have fought the same way as she had back in her earlier years as being a Kenpachi, or Yachiru back then, but she still held her skill with the sword and has proven this to be on par with Kenpachi who was in his prime until Unohana was forced to release her Bankai.

"Heheh, I developed a technique that scared the daylights out of people around me, it certainly got my Lieutenant, Isane, into gear"

Charisma(Intimidation): B: Retsu was a highly charismatic woman and captain in the Soul Reapers and was often sought after by many for advice of all kinds, however in order to get what she wants, Unohana developed an intimidation tactic which was her scary smiley face that when in use, the background turns black and her face starts to grow which scares everyone who stares at it, even Kenpachi would think twice when that frightening face is in place.

"Originally, I learned Medical Kido to prolong my fights to get the most enjoyment but when I created Squad 4, I used my knowledge of Medical Kido as the squads foundation which grew into such a large squad that heads the medical field. I'm quite proud of myself for that"

Medical Proficiency: EX: Unohana is declared as the head of the medical field for centuries and became the undisputed authority of all forms of medical Knowledge and practices, she possesses knowledge of all forms of medical Kido, medical equipment, injuries, diseases etc. so long as she is in play, Unohana will ensure any and all medical issue will be properly treated with maximum effectiveness.

"Minazaki, she's my faithful zanpakuto which was ironic for someone like me, a bloodthirsty and vicious woman in my young age as such being paired with a Zanpakuto that healed others. Heh it was a bad punchline"

*Shikai: Minazuki-The Healing Manta Ray.

Type: Anti-Unit.

Ability: Its release command and the process of its transformation is unknown. In its Shikai form, Minazuki becomes a giant, green, one-eyed manta ray-like creature that can be used for transportation, with the ability to fly and sprout a pair of legs to land upon. When Unohana decides to seal it, Minazuki melts into a slurry of flesh that enters her scabbard before returning to its sealed state

Minazuki possesses the ability to heal; when wounded individuals are placed within its mouth, they are swallowed and stored inside its stomach. The stomach acids of Minazuki are strong healing medicines and ointments which gradually soak over the wounded, curing their injuries. It can carry at least six people within its stomach. At Unohana's command, Minazuki will regurgitate the people out of its mouth onto the ground.

Ability: When released, the blade of Unohana's Zanpakutō liquefies into a thick, viscous, dark red substance that flows over her vicinity. Once the majority of the liquid flows off the Zanpakutō, the remainder solidifies into a shortened katana, which can then be used for combat. It is strong and sturdy enough to clash against Kenpachi's blade.

Contrasting the healing stomach acids of its Shikai, the liquid unleashed by Minazuki functions as an extremely strong acid, capable of reducing a combatant as powerful and physically durable as Kenpachi to a skeleton within seconds of making contact with his body; during their battle, Unohana combined this with her potent Kaidō to drastically speed up the process of killing and reviving Kenpachi in order to remove the mental blocks on his power after her sealed Zanpakutō proved insufficient to match his newfound strength.
