Lore: Sajin Komamura is a Anthropomorphic Soul Reaper, a humanoid fox man with a humanoid body and animalistic appearance, Sajin is a soul reaper extremely loyal to the soul reapers and there cause, having risen up through the ranks while sifting through the discrimination he felt due to his animalistic appearance.
However during his time as a seatless reaper, he met with a blind black man known as Kaname Tossn and they both made a connection with each other because they both desired Justice and Tosen didn't discriminated against Sajin for his appearance, this led to their friendship lasting to when they both had became captains until Kaname's Betrayal by aligning himself with Sosuke Aizen and escaped to Hueco Mundo.

Sajin was a soul reaper so the only form of Magecraft that he encountered came from Kido, his worlds version of Magecraft, though while in his life he fought against opponents that wielded Kido or Hollow Unique Abilities, Sajin would suffer through and survive most of all of these attacks but sustaining heavy injuries in the process with the greatest example was sneak attacking Sosuke Aizen during his betrayal and was cut up to pieces with Hado #90 yet managed to not only survive the attack, he attempted to walk it off hours after Aizen's retreat into Heuco Mundo.

Although Shinigami are really the spirits of humans that have trained to weaponize their souls and guide other spirits to the afterlife, because they are universally recognized as Death Gods they do gain a small amount of divinity.
