Chapter 10 ~ The Train Ride

The next morning when Rose woke up, she heard a knocking coming from the window. When she went to investigate the noise, she discovered that it was Franklin and she let him inside. Rose had let him roam the lands while she was spending time at the Leaky Cauldron to hunt. Once she shut the window, she got his cage ready for him for the long journey they had ahead of them.

Are you ready to go back to Hogwarts? I surely am, except Im afraid of a change thats going to occur. I can feel it in my gut, Franklin, Rose said. What am I saying, youre just an owl. Rose said with a laugh.

Since she was up and Franklin was in his cage, she got dressed and packed all her things into her trunk. She truly was excited for school, but she just had a feeling that something was going to go wrong. Sure, she had the vision of Sirius and thats probably what would be wrong, but she had a feeling something else was going to happen too.

Soon after Rose had packed her things and tried to sneak out of the room to get breakfast, Ginny shot out of bed. You know George would kill me if I let you slip out there without someone, so you wait until Im ready. Rose laughed at Ginnys behaviour and soon Ginny started laughing too, which woke Hermione up.

Seriously, you two are really loud, but I dont want George to get me either so wait for me, Hermione said.

Once the girls were packed and dressed, they started down the steps to the main area. Mrs. Weasley was already down there with Mr. Weasley getting a ministry vehicle to transport the lot to the platform.

When Mrs. Weasley noticed the group, she left Mr. Weasley to get the vehicle and leads the girls to a table to wait on the guys. The boys should be down soon, she stated before heading up the steps to make sure they were up.

The girls laughed and placed their trunks by where they sat and then started to talk about the upcoming term. Rose couldnt focus on their conversation, because she was looking at the opening waiting for her favourite redhead twin. Next thing she knew, Ginny was nudging her saying, Rose, you cant focus on anything if it doesnt pertain to my brother do you? I mean I get it, my family is full of attractive people, but were just talking about how Gryffindor is going to dominate in quidditch this year and win the house cup.

Hey! Pipe down, he may hear you. I do agree about quidditch though, because our teams solid but I know I wont play, Rose said, looking down at her hands.

Well, Oliver is just stupid to think that Alicia is better than you! Hermione exclaimed. I mean, I dont know much about quidditch, but from what Ron and Harry have told me, youre way better than she is.

Rose was dumbfounded, she had never heard Hermione defend quidditch, in any way. Once she found something to say, she said, Thanks Hermy, I appreciate it, but Oliver wont change his mind. I might quit the team this year, and before you yell at me, Ill join back once Wood is no longer captain and Alicia is out of the picture. Ill see how this year plays out and then-

But she was cut off when a pair of redheaded twins exclaimed, Youre doing what! Not on our watch! If we have to torture Wood we will.

The girls just laughed at the two, while they were not laughing. Well, I probably will, but I have a feeling after our first match I wont be on the team anymore, Rose said to the flabbergasted twins.

I hope that feelings wrong, because quidditch without your sly comments on Wood would definitely be missed, Fred said with a smirk growing on his face.

Yeah, and how you sometimes send bludgers at Wood when he wont let you practise, George continued, his smirk growing as well.

Rose smiled and said, Well, for you two's sake, I hope I dont quit the team. If I do, Ill make Wood regret his life because Ill make him miserable. Ill still show up to practise and just torment him. Maybe Harry will let me use his invisibility cloak, because that would be sick.
