The next morning Rose and Ginny both headed downstairs for breakfast. As the two raced down the steps Rose, being the clumsiest witch alive, started to fall head first down them near the end of the steps. As she braced for the impact she noticed nothing happened and when she opened her eyes she noticed that Ron had caught her and stabilized her. She was shocked, to say the least, that he had caught her.
"Thanks, Ron, sorry I'm so clumsy," she said with a shy tone.
"It's no problem, honestly," Ron said with a casual tone.
Rose noticed that George was giving his younger brother a death glare and Rose could feel the jealousy radiating off of him, and he was on the other side of the room. So, Rose made her way across the room to him to confront him about it.
"Hey, so why were you giving Ron the death glare, I swear it started wilting the flowers outside," Rose said with a joking, yet, serious tone.
"I was not giving him the death glare, I was just looking at him," George said, with a heavy presence of jealousy.
"You know you're a horrible liar right? I can read you like a book," Rose said with a knowing look.
George looked at her with a hint of a grin and said, "I know, but I swear I'm not jealous. If I was, I would've left the room."
"Sure, but since I was over there you didn't," she said with a teasing tone and turned to head to the table to eat Molly's delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, Rose, George, Fred, and Ron sat in the living room because Rose was about to find out if she could go to Egypt with the Weasleys. Arthur finally had an answer for them so they awaited him eagerly. Rose still didn't know if she should come, because she didn't want to intrude, but George and Fred kept insisting that she wouldn't be intruding.
"Dad usually doesn't take this long to get back," Fred said with anticipation.
"Yeah, usually he's here by now," George answered back.
"Or, maybe the two of you are just impatient, because he usually gets home by 12 and it's 11:45 right now," Molly said when she entered the room.
"Maybe, but I need him to hurry up because Rose leaves at 8 tonight," George said.
"George, dear, that is almost 8 hours away from now. What possibly could you want to do with her that could take 8 hours?" Molly asked her son.
"Well, we could do so much. We could go ride the new broom, prank Ron, and just hang out."
Molly rolled her eyes at her son and spoke, "Well, he should be here shortly anyways."
After five minutes, Mr. Weasley popped through the fireplace. George and Fred jumped from the couch and said immediately, "So, will Rose get to come with us?"
"Well, I would have expected a hello first," Arthur said, but his smile didn't reach his ears like it usually did. Rose knew something wasn't right.
"How was work dear," Molly asked.
"Oh, only a few raids but nothing special," Arthur said to her. "Now, boys, I did talk to them and well, I don't know how to put this, but Rose she can't come with us. I'm so sorry I tried my best, but it just can't be done."
Rose knew it was going to happen, but it didn't hurt any less to hear it from his mouth. George and Fred looked upset but nonetheless tried to shake it off.
"Oh, well we can still owl her right?" George asked trying to mask his disappointment.
"Yeah, because we have to owl her," Fred responded too.
"Of course, but it might take longer since we will be with Bill, but I'm sure he could find a way to get it to her as soon as he can," Arthur said.
"Good," the twins and Rose said in unison. Molly and Arthur laughed at how in sync the three of them were.
"Well, I better start lunch then," Molly said and then headed to the kitchen and Arthur headed to the couch.
"You want to pull out the firebolt again?" Rose asked the twins and they both lit up and shook their heads. She headed up to Ginny's room to get her broom and when she entered the room she grabbed the broom and rushed back down the stairs. "You two ready?"
The both of them aggressively nodded their heads and said, "Yes!" So with that, the three of them headed out to the field in which they played.
"I call the first one to ride, you two can get the other ones out and we can switch who gets the firebolt," Rose said. The twins both nodded in agreement.
With that, she kicked off the ground and zoomed into the air. Soon after she was joined by George and then Fred. The three flew around and just enjoyed the air rushing at them.
Rose loved riding her firebolt it made her feel alive again, but then again she was also with George and that always helped too.
"Rose, can I please ride the broom now," Fred asked and Rose laughed and nodded. She went to land and so did he and they switched and headed back. Rose was content with the day. She watched as Fred zoomed through the sky and laughed at his inner child showing through.
She didn't notice that George was hovering on his broom beside her until he spoke, "You know, you're supposed to fly around right not just admire someone else flying."
"Oh, yeah sorry," Rose said with an awkward laugh. "It's just fascinating watching someone else flying the firebolt."
"I'm only joking," George said. It was quiet before he spoke again, "Sorry for doing that, I know it's not my place to do that, because you're still with Oliver."
Oh shoot, Rose thought, I forgot about Oliver. She sighed and said, "Well, it doesn't matter because he hasn't written to me since I first got off the train so I wouldn't worry about it."
George looked at her with sympathy and flew closer to her to grab her hand and give it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm sorry for bringing him up, I didn't mean to upset you."
"It's not your fault Georgie," Rose said.
After their talk, it was quiet until Fred came back down and said he wanted to go back inside. Once they reached the house the time read 3:30. Rose had more time left to hang out with the Weasleys and she was happy about it, to say the least. So the three of them went up to the twin's room to discuss some new pranks that they could pull for the next school year.
"I was thinking, maybe, we could do something to Malfoy this year. Maybe slip some hair dye in his shampoo and finally get rid of the bleach-blond hair he's got going on," Fred said.
"Or maybe we could replace the broom wax with grease before their match so they slip off their brooms," George replied. The two gave equally mischievous grins back to each other. Rose just rolled her eyes with a smile on her face. She did agree with the second option though. To see Marcus Flint fall off his broom and embarrass himself would be the greatest gift anyone could give her.
In Rose's first year at Hogwarts, Marcus would try and fail, to get her attention. The boy was obsessed with her and she tried to make it known, but he was too oblivious to tell. He still tries to get her attention and to add to it he knows she's with Oliver, even though she and he are not on good terms at the present moment.
"Rose, are you alright?" both the twins asked in unison, snapping her out of her daze.
"Oh, yeah, I'm good," she replied, "just thinking that's all."
The twins gave each other a look, but they started back talking about new pranks to pull.
After a few hours of planning new pranks, the three emerged from the twin's room and went back to the living room. The clock now read 6 o'clock. Molly had just started to make dinner and even though it was in the early stages of being made, it smelt delicious already. Rose knew it would be an hour before it was done so she asked the twins if they wanted to go to their spot in the fields. They agreed and set off for the little area they made for this specific occasion, which was frequently used to make pranking material and a hang-out spot for the Weasley siblings as well.
Once they reached the spot the twins pulled out the supplies they use to make their pranking material, which Rose had no idea how to make, and got to work. Rose just sat there and soaked in the moment of listening to the birds and the twins talking about each prank and the material that they would need.
After about an hour they heard Molly call out that dinner was ready. So, they headed back to the house after hiding the pranking supplies.
Once they reached the house Rose immediately headed for the table so she could get a plate and get some food.
After stuffing their faces with food, the whole table was satisfied, but George, Fred, and Rose knew what was happening now, she had to leave. Even though they had just had this amazing dinner, they sulked up to get Rose's things from Ginny's room and take her back home.
"I don't want you to leave," George said as they were walking down the stairs to the fireplace. George and Fred were taking her home again.
"Me either," Rose and Fred said at the same time.
All three of us laughed at how in-sync we were at times before finally reaching the fireplace. They stalled for a bit before Fred took her trunk and flooed to her house leaving just Rose and George behind.
"I don't want to go home, but I know I have to. I miss Neville and my Gran, but I know I'll miss you guys here," she said to George.
George took her hand and said, "I know, but you can come over some if you want. Maybe we could meet in the field again before I leave for Egypt?" George said trying to comfort her. It worked to say the least. Rose smiled and hugged him before dragging him in the fireplace and calling to go home.
As they spun and spun they finally reached their destination and didn't collapse ontop of one another this time. Thank Merlin, because Rose's Gran was right there waiting for her.
"Welcome home, my dear. How was your stay at the Weasley's?" her Gran asked.
"It was good, we got to try out the new broom and just spent time together. Mr.Weasley did figure out that I can't go to Egypt with them, but it's ok," Rose said.
"That's always good, and George, I hope you had fun as well."
"I did and so did Fred, but he's probably taking Rose's things to her room," right as George said that, they heard a thud coming from the direction of Rose's room. Rose and George looked at each other and laughed at how clumsy Fred could be sometimes.
As Fred came down the stairs the pair started laughing again, whereas Fred was not even close to being amused.
"It's not funny, and I think we should head home soon. I don't want mum to worry too much about us. Give Rosie a hug Georgie, I know you really want to," Fred said amused with himself since he made his twin blush.
Before George could even attempt to hug her, Fred beat him to it and quickly used the fireplace to floo back to the Burrow. Now, George was left with her, and her Gran, and he hugged Rose goodbye and apologized for Fred's behaviour.
"It's fine George, he's just picking on you. Good night," Rose said.
With that George, begrudgingly, flooed back to the Burrow. As Rose turned, she saw her Gran's face and said, "What? If you're thinking that I like him again, you're highly mistaken."
"Whatever you say, but I think you should settle for the night. I bet you've ate already, so, you can start your nightly routine to prepare for tomorrow. Also, you have some letters in your room and Franklin is impatiently waiting for you," her Gran said. "Good night Rose, I'll see you in the morning."
With that Rose raced to her room to see her owl and see who wrote her. Rose figured it was just a reply from Hermoine, Harry, or Lee. Once she got to her room, she gathered clothes to shower and brush her teeth. After she was done showering and brushing her teeth, she went to her desk to see her owl and read the letters she had received. She noticed two letter on the desk, but didn't look at who they were from, she was too busy showering Franklin with love and treats. Once she was done feeding Franklin, she turned to the letters that have long been awaiting her to open them. The top letter was from Hermoine and the second was surprisingly from Oliver. This shocked her more than she thought it would and decided to open Oliver's first.

Dear Rose,
I've noticed my error in putting everything above you and I feel troubled with it. I didn't think it was affecting you so badly until Angelina and Lee pointed it out to me. I must ask, why didn't you talk with me about it before? I would've stopped and listened to you. I know that's hard for you to believe with how I've been acting, but if you're willing to give me another chance, I would absolutely take it. I know we never broke off, but with the way it's been, it does seem like we have. I hope that you forgive me for my stupidity and will write back as soon as you can.
With Love,
Oliver W.
To put into simple terms, Rose was shocked. She didn't expect Oliver to realize, but then again he had to be told about it in the first place. This would be his final chance to make things right, because her and George's bet is still going. So she decided to write back.

Dear Oliver,
I'm glad you have finally realized (even though you were told) that you've been treating me like you have no clue who I am. I understand that you are stressed with quidditch and always want to win, but I am also here and I feel you put everything else above me. I will forgive you, but this will be the last time, because I can't handle another heartbreak from you, it'll be too much. Anyways, hope your summer is going well and maybe we could arrange a date? Write back as soon as possible.
    With Love,
        Rose

After she wrote the letter for Oliver, she opened the letter from Hermione and it read:
Dear Rose,
Keep denying those feelings, one day they will show and prove you wrong. Anyways, I heard, from Ron, that your new broom is amazing! He was going on and on about it in his previous letter. I also heard that you stayed at the Burrow for a few days, that's nice. I really wish one day that I could come to the Burrow and hang out. Anyways, I am having an excellent summer and the new books are very interesting, I really hope the new DADA teacher is good, because this years lessons are the most exciting yet! I must go now, but I hope to hear from you soon!
    SIncerely,
        Hermione

Rose laughed and rolled her eyes at her friends letter, but she still couldn't figure out why everyone made the assumption that she liked George. They were just friends, at least that's what she kept telling herself that.

Dear Hermione,
Whatever you say Hermy, and yes the broom is out-of-this-world and super fast. I almost fell off once or twice already, which isn't good, but I'm getting the hang of it. Talking about crushes though, are you sure you don't like Ron, I mean I don't think you're telling me the full truth. But, I'm glad the books are good and 3rd year DADA is the best I remember my 3rd year and it was one of my favorites. Also, I may or may not have forgiven Oliver again, but I swear it's the last time. If he takes advantage of it, then it's his loss and George'e gain in your eyes at least. Anyways, it was good hearing from you again, and don't hesitate to write whenever you can!
    Sincerely,
        Rose

After she finished the letter, she tied both Hermione's and Oliver's to Franklin's leg and told him where to go, while also feeding him some toast for his journey. After he finished his toast, he flew into the night to deliver the two letters.
Rose went to her bed and fell ontop on her soft blankets and cozy bed, and thought to herself, "what if everyone's right and I'm oblivious to everything around me dealing with boys?"
With that thought, she realized she needed to go to bed soon to mentally prepare herself for the next day, because she was going to see her parents. She loved, but dreaded going to see them, but she can't just pretend they aren't there. She loved her parents so much, and still does, that she would go through the torture of visiting them even though they don't remeber who she was to them.
With that thought, she finally drifted off to sleep to conquer the upcoming day.
