Chapter 8 ~ Recovery

Georges POV

For George and his family, Egypt has been amazing. Theyve got to hang out with Bill and Charlie more, since they both live away from home. George and Fred were in the room they shared in the place they were staying, discussing new types of pranks to pull and tactics for quidditch.

Fred, I think we need to talk to Oliver about letting Rose play some this year. I know I may be biassed, but shes amazing. Personally, I think shes better than Alicia by a long shot, George said to his twin.

George, honestly, I want Rose to play and I know shes better than Alicia, but we have to let Oliver decide. Before you lecture me, hear me out. Its his last year as captain and Angelinall be promoted to captain after he leaves. I know Angelina will let Rose play under her captaining. Also, I think you might like Rose, and dont deny it. Im your twin, I can basically read your emotions, Fred said matter-of-factly.

Before George could get a word out, the alarm that would let him know if Rose or Neville were injured went off. George went into a panic and grabbed the circle around his neck and pressed the button to try and talk to her, Rose! Are you alright? Please tell me youre alright? Oh Merlin, Fred, get mum! Please try to say something if you can, Ill get mum to alert your Gran.

Turning off the device, he ran to where his mum and Fred would be to figure out how to get in-touch with Augusta. I have to go to her, George said in a panicked voice, I cant let her be by herself.

Ron, Ginny, Mr. Weasley, Bill, and Charlie all came into the room after hearing a frantic George.

Whats going on mum? Bill asked.

Rose has been injured, we think. She sent a signal to George that she was instructed to do if anything bad were to happen. Im trying to get in-touch with Augusta to let her know, Mrs. Weasley said.

I have to get to her, mum, George said as he headed to the Floo Network available at their location.

Fred went to stop him saying, Mate, you cant go. We have to stay here.

George wasnt listening because he was determined to get to the Floo Network. Before he knew it, not only Fred was holding him back, but Ron, Bill, and Charlie were too.

George, mums got in-touch with Augusta. Her and Neville are on the way to her now with a black stray dog, Charlie tried to tell his brother.

Calm down, George. Rose wouldnt want you to come to her. Shed want you to stay here and enjoy your vacation with your family, Fred said behind him.

Youll see her on Saturday, mate. Augusta agreed to let her stay at the Leaky Cauldron with us, Ron said on his left.

You must really fancy her, George. Ive never seen you act like this unless someone insulted our family, Bill said on his right.

George took this as his sign to stop resisting and to wait for a report from Augusta. This didnt mean that George was any less concerned for the girl he couldnt get off his mind. For he cares for Rose more than what any word can describe. He has ever since they were little kids.

George decided to just lay on his bed and wait for a response from Augusta. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, his mum came into the room and said, Augusta said that Rose is in St. Mungos is stable. Shes lost a lot of blood and has a broken arm and many open wounds. All the wounds are closed and shes resting now, but Augusta also said that she flew into a tree and it damaged her vocal cords, but theyre back to normal now, thanks to the Healers.

This relieved George of his worry, but he still wanted to rush to her side. He said, Thank Merlin shes alright, but I figure Im still not allowed to go see her?
