Chapter 13 ~ Caught Lackin'

As predicted, the quidditch practices were brutal and on top of that, she had prefect duties to attend to. Percy had upped security sweeps since the break in and Rose was not thrilled about it.

Classes were going smoothly, and the time seemed to slip by her because it seemed like just yesterday they were starting practices and now they were about to take on Hufflepuff in a few days.

Rose wasnt nervous about the match too much because she wouldnt play, but she was nervous for Harry. He had encountered a dementor on the train this year and now they were surrounding Hogwarts. Rose had a bad feeling about them.

Other than that, Rose was currently sitting between George and Oliver in the Great Hall for dinner on that Friday. The match was on a Sunday and the whole team seemed to be on edge, except for Rose. They had an extra practice the next day, Saturday, so they could go over plays one last time.

Rose reached down and took Olivers hand in hers and gave it a reassuring squeeze, which he returned with a forced smile.

Sure he was cheating on her, but she still tried to comfort him in his time of stress.

George took notice of this and even though he knew she didnt mean the action like she used to, he was still radiating jealousy. Fred gave him a kick to the shin and a look as if to say, drop it.

Soon after, Rose headed up to the common room with all her friends to get some sleep before their early practice in the morning.

The whole journey up was silent and Rose did not enjoy it at all. She wanted to talk with the twins about their upcoming plan to out Oliver, but she was afraid this would not be the best time.

Since she and the twins were in the back of the group, Rose nudged both of them and gave them the look of we need to talk. Luckily for her, they got the message and she figured they would all be going up to the twins dorm.

Once they reached the portrait, they gave Sir Cadgon the password and when everyone went to their designated dorm, Rose was snuck into George and Freds dorm.

So, we will do this in the common room after the game Sunday. After the game, win or lose I want this to be over with. We do it in the common room, well, I do it in the common room. I dont want him to know you two were in on it, Rose said.

Agreed, and dont forget the theatrics, Fred added.

Or the fact you knew he was cheating, George added.

Got it, Rose said, she was about to say something else, but then she went rigid and was in a whole other area. She was having a vision again.

What she saw was a dementor swooping down and trying to remove Harrys soul, making him fall from his broom. She watched in horror as he fell and Dumbledore caught him, but then she saw the grim in the sky and Sirius near the Whoomping Willow, which had destroyed Harrys Nimbus 2000. She then was in a different place, the hospital wing with Harry. Thank Merlin hell be ok. she thought.

She was then brought back to her senses, with a pair of strong arms wrapped around her. She looked up and was met with those beautiful hazel eyes, but they were swimming with worry. Another vision?

Yeah, Harry will be attacked by a dementor at the game. I dont think I can stop that from happening, but Ill try. I dont want anything to happen to him, Rose said.

I will. Sorry for that, she laughed awkwardly.

Dont worry about it, Rosie, George said with so much care in his tone it made her cheeks turn pink.

Fred gave her a look, but she shot it down before George could notice and bid her farewell so she could go get ready for an early practice.
