The next day Luke met up early with Cleo before they headed down for breakfast with his parents. Lets just say Cleo was rather nervous, "I'm freaking the fuck out."
She had already met Jack, his brother and it went great. They went for lunch the day before and Jack of course was ecstatic to meet his little brothers 'girlfriend' even if he knew it wasn't real. He was still excited. They actually got along really well, better than Luke had expected. And Ellie wasn't has bored as she thought she was going to be.
"They'll love you, okay? Don't worry," He reassured her, grabbing Cleo's hand and walking into the restaurant.
She waited behind Luke as he greeted his family with hugs. This was important. She needed to make a good lasting impression, her mind was racing. Luke grabbed Cleo's hand once again, giving her a soft smile immediately relaxing her.
"Mom, dad, this is Cleo," her cheeks swiftly reddened with a small smile.
"Hi Mrs Hughes," she wiped her hands on her skirt and held her hand to shake Ellen's hand. She gave the girl a bright smile and brought her in for a hug.
She turned to Jim and smiled with a simple hand shake, she also gave Jack a quick side hug before sitting down at the table.
They all ate and discussed the game before the boy had to leave. Cleo stayed with his parents and they actually got along quite well. They'd got seats next to each other for the game and obviously Cleo was planning to drag Ellie along.
