A/N: This story takes place in the real world, but contains fundamental elements of Minecraft, such as mobs. It is quite cringey in the beginning but PLEASE stick with this series; I promise it gets better! I started writing this when I was a very hardcore Minecrafter in 2015, and now that I'm not as into it, the story deviates from the Minecraft world.
Any references to a real-life character or place is purely coincidental.
"Breathe. Breathe." The sound of Romani's voice comforted Fern as she heaved. (I guess I'll skip the details for this part.) To put it simply, a human was having the child of a witch-blaze hybrid. Suddenly the new parents heard a cry. The woman picked up her new-spawned baby girl, and immediately hissed in pain. Flames were dancing across the baby's skin.
"How is she not affected by the heat? Or you, for that matter?" Fern asked through gritted teeth as she handed her baby to her husband.
"Shes a third blaze, and I half," the man muttered, his red hair sparking.
Fern weakly chuckled. "Oh, right. Sorry, I'm a little...tired," she yawned. "What shall we name this wonder?"
"Ember," Romani immediately suggested.
"Oh, Ember..." Fern sighed, fatigue taking over. "It's...beautiful." Her head fell on the pillow and she rested her burned palms across her chest.
The baby giggled as her father walked away from the bed, leaving his wife in peace. He set his baby girl down on a cobblestone chair and examined her. She had small red hairs speckled across her now-bald head, but he could see they would be thick, long, and luxurious in the years to come. She opened her eyes and Romani gasped as he gazed into the intense, blue flames of his daughter's eyes. The colors--electric blue and ice--flickered and danced in his infant's stare.
Romani dropped his gaze and held his daughter close. Muttering a few words, he doused her flames, and walked back into Fern's bedroom. The baby squealed as she saw her mother. Romani set her down by her mother, and they immediately shifted towards each other. Romani climbed in on the other side of the bed and the family immediately fell asleep, close and warm.

Soooooooooooo yeaaaahhhhhh. Hope you like. I was torn between Seraphina and Ember; I looked up unique names for females at first for other stories, and then I looked up names that mean fire for females, and Seraphina showed up for both! So I chose Ember!
