Chapter Thirteen

*Ember's POV*
I woke up in my room. Odd, I thought. I was in the courtyard last time I remember...oh well. I put my newly dropped off uniform on and brushed my teeth. My hair strangely never really got messy, so I didn't brush it and put a light coat of makeup on. "Toboooooooo! TOBOE WAKE UP!" I shook my roommate, who was in cat form.

"Ugh...5 more minutes..." She rolled over. I sighed, went to the bathroom and filled a cup qith water, and dumped it on her. "YAAARGGHH!" She screamed and transformed back to human. "Stop being evil!"

"Stop being so easy to prank," I retorted with a giggle.

"Oh, I will," Toboe vowed quietly.

Our first class was magic training. "I am Professor Oriffizor, and I will be teaching you moves of a key warrior. Activate your powers!"

First was a boy. His skin rippled into scales. "Ender Dragon-Witch hybrid! My name is Scilion."

"Can you fly, and have you claws?"

"No, I can't fly, and my claws could use some sharpening," he admitted sheepishly,"but hit me with your sword!" The Professor obeyed and swung his sword at the boy. A resounding clang! echoed across the field.

"Great defense!"

(Now you have to understand there are only about 50 people in this school--hey, it's new. With 5 classes, there are roughly 10 people in each class.)

Next was another boy. He must have been a full witch, because he took out a potion and flung it into the air. "I'm a brewer, sir, so I can make pretty much anything! My name is Ernesto." (Dat's my puppy's name!!!)

"Hmm, could be useful...I like it! Defensive, for now."

Sora stepped up. "I am an illusionist, Professor, and my name is Sora." She held a sword and swung it through the Professor. The kids gasped in sync, but the professor was unharmed and clapping.

"I'll train you how to use a real sword, and you could be a great asset! Offensive!"

Toboe entered. "I'm a shapeshifter...but back at home I took fencing lessons. The name's Toboe." She turned into a wolf and growled menacingly.

"Hmmm...since you have knowledge in fencing, then I will put you in the offensive group, but your talents in shapeshifting could make you a great spy." Toboe sighed--I don't know why, she got into offensive--and walked away.

Jet walked onto the platform. "I have witch-squid powers. I am Jet."

*THIRD PERSON*
*A Brief Period of Learning, and Everyone Knows When Someone Says Brief It's Actually 5 Pages Long When it Should be 50 Words Long*

During the Squid vs. Sky war, both sides were losing too many from their armies, so they called a truce. On the Lake of Ink, Sky and his girlfriend came on a boat to discuss politics. "My armies will stop fighting you if you give us that woman," the Squid King proposed. His father was a squid, and his mother a witch, so he was magical, but as a good soldier, didn't let his magic get in the way. He lived as a normal squid, keeping his magic a secret. Or maybe he just forgot about it.

Anyways, Sky and the woman, who was named Dawn, both gasped. "But, Your Squiddiness, how is that f--?" Sky was cut off by a tentacle being shoved into his face.

"No buts. You heard me, and that is my final offer!" The squid slammed his tentacle down on the water, splashing Sky and Dawn. Sky spat the tentacle out and looked disgusted, realized what the squid had said, and adopted a frown.

Dawn sadly looked at Sky, who had a conflicted expression on his face. She would have seen pain in his eyes if he took his sunglasses off, which he never did. "I have to go...with him..."
