Chapter Twenty

Above is my amazing(ly faily) drawing of the gang...at about 12-13 yrs old (thats what it looks like at least). Toboe is holding a family heirloom that I will explain later in the book. With Sora's spots and stuff, she's illusionating (yup, that's a word) the background. Enjoy! PS Yes Hero is stalking Toboe. I also have no clue why there is a video thing, it's not a video, just a pic. Maybe it's just on my device, I don't know, but enjoy!

*Sora's POV*

Seto ran after them for a minute and when he returned, Toboe was at his side. She quickly shifted us all into wolves and ran back to the others. "Once you get to Pixellaria, start struggling against my bonds making you wolves," she instructed over her shoulder. "I'll feel it and release you." We turned away and loped into the distance.

With Poof and Toboe gone, traveling was easier. We reached Pixellaria within a matter of days and Toboe released the bond tying us to her. We were now truly alone. Our clothes were ragged and torn, like many of the villagers in this part of town. "I'm guessing that the poor people live at the edge of the village, and the castle is in the middle," I explained to Seto and Ember, who groaned in response. I had been keeping the knapsack with food in it, so I handed some uncooked beef to my friends, who were leaning against an oak tree. They eagerly dug in after burning it with their magical fire, tearing the sinews with their hands.

"Sorry," Ember mumbled, licking her fingers. "It's just we haven't eaten for a long time, and.--"

I cut her off. "You think that's rude? Watch this!" I pulled steak out and held it in my teeth, staring at them. Then I abruptly started shaking my head around, pieces of the meat flying everywhere. I dropped the meat and started tearing at it with my teeth until I could successfully pick it up. Seto and Ember stared at me until we all doubled over laughing.

Night began to fall. We were at the end of the village, and we knocked on the door. A villager's oversize nose bumped into Ember's face as he opened the door. "Sorry about that," he apologized gruffly. "What do you kids need?"

"A place to s-stay," Ember shivered in the cold night air.

"I've got some materials to craft bed and more than enough room. Come in," the villager gestured kindly. We walked in just as a zombie came onto the porch. The villager quickly bolted the door and handed us materials. We made beds and lay down on them. The world began to fade as I grew sleepier, and sleepier, until all was black.

*Poof's POV*

Once we dropped Toboe off at the academy, Dusty created a land ripple that whipped us into Pixellaria's outermost villages. We hurriedly ran to the castles, unaware that we had passed my friends. "Let's stop by a booth and get some...appropriate clothes," River suggested. He'd packed some of his parent's money that they gave him for a bit of luxury in the city. We passed a vendor selling new clothes, and River went to check it out. I followed him shyly. "Hey, what do you have for some 15, 16 year old adolescents?" He asked smoothly.

The seller, who was only a bit older than me, blushed and pointed to two racks of clothes. River grinned and winked at her, which left her flushing. We walked over to the racks and immediately one caught my eye. It was a blue lace dress, ending at the shins, and the sleeves ended at the elbows. I picked it up. "Um, where's the dressing room, if there is one?" I asked the vendor runner politely.

"In here," she showed me behind a curtain.

"Okay, thank you." I closed the curtain and put on the dress, admiring myself in the glass. It fit like a glove and I immediately adored it. I put my old clothes on and put the dress by the cashier. River and Dusty had picked out their clothes, and just as we were about to check out I snagged a purple, blue, and magenta scarf. We took turns getting our new outfits on. I thanked the vendors and we walked away.
