Kirabo Peters was a storm that came unexpectedly. It appeared she came to bring only more chaos to my life yet when I'm with her, I feel nothing but absolute peace. I couldn't deny her when she asked for her sister to come back with us. Fuck, the look on her face, when I refused, was enough to make me want to take back what I said almost immediately.

However, I didn't count on Jordan being her sister's mate. The normally tough soldier was at a loss for words once they both uttered the word: mate.

My darling mate was even more confused. Jordan's mark disappeared the moment the word left his lips which in turn caused my Kirabo to faint. We were on our way home now. The plane landed half an hour ago and my mate was yet to awaken. Jordan and Naomi were ahead of us and they appeared to be getting along just fine.

In many ways, I was more than a little relieved to know that he could finally get rid of that good-for-nothing mate of his. I smirked, knowing the satisfaction of seeing her suffer would be most enjoyable.

A feeble groan broke my thought, and I glanced to the passenger seat in time to find my mate stretching as she yawned. She looked utterly adorable. My long-forgotten heart stuttered every time I laid my eyes on her. She was unfathomably beautiful and as I get to know her, I'm learning it's not only an external thing.

"I had a crazy dream," she sighed, smiling at me, "I dreamt that Jordan and Naomi are mates and Jordan's mark just went poof off his neck. Crazy right?"

She chuckled to herself, making an amused smile fall on my lips. Yup, utterly adorable.

"Princess," I started slowly, "That wasn't a dream."

Her eyes widened and she turned her body to look at me, "What?!"

I winced at her outburst before a frown slid onto my face. Why did she appear to be so nervous?

"It wasn't a dream," I repeated, "Is there something wrong?"

"Sophia."

Her instantaneous response surprised me. Was there something about Sophia that I didn't already know about?

"What about her?", I breathed out as I parked the car.

My mate shuddered, "She's going to be so angry."

"And so what?"

"Sophia is a maniac when she's angry. Have you ever really seen her when she gets like that?"

I scoffed and got out of the car, running over to the passenger side to help Kira out. Once she was on solid ground, I grabbed onto her shoulders, holding her gaze.

"I can promise you, princess, however much of a manic she becomes, her anger isn't as bad as mine," I grumbled.

Kira's eyes widened in understanding before she twisted her lips distastefully. I chuckled at her reaction before teleporting us to our room. She immediately sat on our bed while I went into the closet to grab a change of clothes for the both of us.
