aurora and derek were currently in the midst of an argument about the werewolf hunters. he had told her they attacked him and scott yesterday and then told her she was only allowed to go to school and lacrosse then she needed to come back home.

"i'm not having you lock me up!" she yelled at the man.

"what are you not understanding about this!? the hunters will try and kill us. you especially since you killed one of them!" he yelled back, louder than aurora.

"it was an accident and you know it! i was fourteen, derek! i am not the child who almost burned to death when she was ten anymore, i can look after myself!" she screamed, her finger pointing at his chest.

"school and lacrosse that's it. end of story, no hanging out with scott and stiles. i can handle scott."

aurora scoffed. "i can't believe you're doing this! hunters have been everywhere our whole lives. i don't need you protecting me anymore."

"just- just go to your room, aurora." he dismissed the girl angrily.

"i need to go to school, idiot." she said in annoyance.

"then go to school, but rory i swear to god if you aren't back here-"

"yeah, yeah. whatever." aurora snapped, heading towards the door and leaving the apartment.

school went on as usual, aurora kept her contact to scott and stiles as minimal as possible but the two were absolutely insufferable and couldn't give the girl five minutes or peace.

"so are the hunters after you too aurora?" stiles asked, chirpy as ever.

aurora looked at scott then at stiles. "are you like... okay?" she asked honestly concerned.

"it's just a question."

"yes stiles, the hunters will be after me too. you know since i'm a werewolf and everything too." she yelled in a hushed whisper.

scott stood silently, zoned out.

"scott?" aurora asked. "you good?"

"what?" scott looked over at aurora and stiles.

"i said are you good?" she looked at him a concerned look on her face.

"oh, yeah... fine." he replied. "we need to get ready for training." scott looked at the two.

...

coach's whistle blew. "let's go!" he shouted to the team. "one-on-ones from up top."

jackson had hold of a long stick and stood in front of the goal. coaches whistle blew again, and the first person scooped up the ball and ran towards jackson but before he could get any further jackson got him to the ground.

more and more people went up against jackson, with no luck. next up was scott, but again he was zoned out.

"let's go. mccall, what are you waiting for?!" coach yelled. "let's go."
