Chapter 14

AKIRO GOT OUT of the car after Winston opened the door for him. The Guard and some employees who are outside look at him and wonder who he is. 

"You don't need to do that, I can use my hand pretty well you know?" He said to Winston. Winston just shrugged and smiled a bit. He is used to it as he is always escorting the lady of the house. Habits are really hard to get rid of, especially since he was assigned to their new boss who loves to do things on his own. 

"I'll just park the car, Young Master. You can go inside first." Tumungo siya sa sinabi ni Winston at naglakad patungong entrance ng companyang pagmamay-ari ng asawa. 

"Excuse me, Sir! Ano pong kailangan nila?" Tanong ng guard sa kanya. 

"Ah, I'm here to see Patricia!" Sagot niya dito. 

Kumunot ang noo ng security guard habang nakatingin sa kanya. "Si Madam po?" Sino po ba sila, Sir? May appointment po ba tayo?" Pagche-check pa nito. Napakamot nalang siya ng ulo. Hindi nga pala siya kilala ng mga ito. Wala naman siyang appointment ngayon. 

"Uhm, Sir?" The guard called him when he did not answer.

"Ah, wala akong appointment e." Sagot niya dito. 

The guard observed him as he was still wearing their school uniform. "Pasensiya na po, Sir! Ngunit hindi po kayo pwedeng pumasok ng walang confirmation galing sa itaas." Anito. He smiled at the guard. He remained professional even though he didn't know who he was. It looks like Adam trained them professionally without being rude to an unknown guest. 

Akiro took his phone from his pocket and called Adam. "Hey, old man! I'm downstairs but don't have any pass. Can you vouch for me?" He asked. 

"Young Master, you should call me first before coming here. I'll be there in a few minutes." Anito mula sa kabilang linya. 

"What a hassle! You can talk to the guard without coming down though." Aniya nang ibinaba na agad ni Adam ang tawag. "He'll be there!" Nakangiting ani niya sa guard. He leaned from the side while waiting for Adam. The employees who are taking their breaks curiously looked at him 

"What a handsome student! Kilala mo ba yan, Kuya Rudy?" Someone asked the guard. 

"Ewan, bisita daw ni Madam e. Hindi ko lang alam kung totoo." Sagot nito. 

"Kay Madam? How rare! Nga pala, bakit bukas na bukas tong pinto may problema ba sa security system natin?" Tanong pa nito.

"Ay, Oo nga! Hindi ko alam bakit bumukas yan. Bumubukas lang yan ng ganyan kapag si Madam ang pumapasok at lumalabas e." 

"Young Master! You're still here?" Biglang tanong ni Winston na kararating lang. 

"Ah, can you confirm my identity? I was not allowed to come inside as they don't know who I am." He said to Winston.

"Huh?" Tumingin si Winston sa entrance kung saan nakabantay ang tatlong guard. "The door was wide open, Young Master. It was opened the moment you approached the door. You already know that Milan was on your track, right?" Winston said. 

"Oh, is that why it opened? Anyway, it looks like Adam's already here. Let's go!" Nagpatiuna na siyang maglakad kay Winston at sinalubong si Adam na agad namang yumuko sa kanya bilang pagbati.

Napailing nalang si Akiro sa ginawa nitong paggalang. He already told him not to do that anymore but he's sticking to the rules. That's why the others are also following his actions as Adam is superior to them, so why would they not follow him and act appropriately?

"Lead the way, Old man!" Utos niya kay Adam na agad namang ginabayan siya patungo sa private elevator.

The curious looks of the employees were left on the floor as they were looking at the scene. Questions are filled on their minds but there is no answer to them at that moment. One thing they are sure of is that the young lad was one of the big shots in their company.
