Saturday.

Three couldn't wait, he sat on the windowsill, Eggy had fallen asleep on Three's bed. He decided to let her sleep, she's been having trouble sleeping lately, probably because of Axol and Melody joining the household.

Besides, Three has fallen asleep a few times in a diurnal sleep cycle. It didn't matter to him.

Three had woken up around 2:15 pm, a bit earlier than expected but he really didn't care, besides he could talk to Glitchy, or Luke, as Three learned his real name...

He like Glitchy better, his mind always associate Luke with the one from Star Wars anyways.

They had planned their date for saturday, as then Glitchy wouldn't have to worry about school getting in the way.

Three couldn't help but wonder, did he go to college before turning into a vampire?

Did he have family looking for him?

Did he have a job?

Friends? Co-workers?

Three sighed. He was overthinking things. Besides, if anyone was looking for him, they would have given up by now, it's been twelve years. Surely, Three would have seen his face in the news if anyone was looking for him.

Three looked down at his phone, he needed to distract himself from going into pity city.

What the hell!?!

Three had opened up a tab on his browser to see the main headline.

Cop attacked!! Murderer sussed out?!

Apparently, last night someone, who wanted to remain anonymous called into to the station and reported screaming, and 'the sounds of someone being murdered.' Officer Hal recalled from the phone call from the caller.

When a few policemen arrived at the scene, there laid the dead body of Richard Mufflefield, and standing over his corpse was a woman wearing all black and covered in blood.

Officer Fm gave chase, but just as he was about to arrest the suspect, she attacked, leaving him wounded.

"If it wasn't for Officer Hal, I not sure if I would still be here." Fm admitted to the reporter Kermit Frog. "He saved me from being vampire food." He joked.

Three felt himself deadpanning. 'Oh, you have no idea...' He thought.

"I was only given a few seconds to look at our suspect before she left." Hal said.

The suspect to look out for is a woman with dark skin in her twenties, with silver hair, a lean body build and she seen carrying a cat-like mask off from the scene of the crime.

'Whisk...' Three had thought to himself, he had only known the girl for a few months before he left Zer0 behind in the dust.

Three read through the rest of the article, the officer is okay and was let out of the hospital.

Eggy got up from her nap, stretching out her body, she noticed Three on his phone and made her way towards him.

She let out a bark. Three looked up from his phone. "Did you have a nice nap sweetie?" He said in a baby voice, picking her up off the floor. The pouch licked his nose.

Three chuckled. "Maybe Terrance can take you out for a walk, would you like that?" Eggy was already wagging her tail in excitement.

Three wished he could go with her but unless it's night or it's raining, he can't go out in the sun. Not if he wants to turn into a pile of ash in a few seconds.

The werewolf was happy to take out the other canine out for a walk. Three waved goodbye as Terrance held on to Eggy's leash and they were out the door.

Three felt his stomach growl. He made his way towards the fridge to find only two blood packets left.

Crap. Guess he has to go hunting tonight.

But then, another idea popped into his head. Glitchy...

'No! I shouldn't do that... I don't want to make him feel unconformable.' He scolded in his own head.

Three grabbed a blood packet and made a quick note for everyone else that they were low.

Nighttime couldn't come soon enough.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke felt himself being shaken by someone.

"Lukie, wake up! It's time for dinner." A voice said in a sing-song tone.

Amanda.

Luke got up with a groan, he looked over at the clock. 6:12pm.

"Alright, Alright, I'm up." He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

His sister giggled as she exited the room.

Dinner time was pretty standard, although Kevin did ask why Meggy came over.

Luke lied and said it was about a school project. Luckily, his brother believed him and left it at that. Luke did an internal sigh of relief; he did not want to tell his brother the truth.

But even then, would he believe it?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Night had fallen on the city and Luke had made sure that his siblings were asleep, so he could do this in private.

He felt bad that he took this book out of the library without checking it out, but he didn't want to explain why he was suddenly interested in vampires to anyone who was there in the library.

He opened the book to find what he was looking for. He flipped past that section to find it.

How to cure a vampire bite.

"Usually when vampires draw blood from humans, they clean the bite wound with a protein in their saliva that instantly cures the bite mark." The book read. "But if for some reason if they forget or are trying to purposely are trying to turn a human into a vampire there are ways to cure it.

Humans don't turn into vampires unless they were bitten by the neck, so if a vampire had bitten a human by their wrist, they won't turn."

Fm was bitten by his shoulder, but Meggy never told Luke if it was by the neck or not.

Luke continued reading. "Humans have about a six-hour period before they start showing signs of turning, so it's best to act quickly. Wrapping up the bite and using the petals of a rose mixed with garlic to create a lotion can help slow down the turning process.

Another solution to curing the bite and stopping the turning process is having the wound wrapped up so it isn't out in the open, drinking plenty of water, and getting plenty of sunlight.

But if you want the best solution, is getting the specific protein to create your own vampire saliva."

Luke looked at the name of the protein and felt his head spin, he didn't know how to pronounce that...

Still, at least he now knows about it. If he needs it in the future.

Hopefully not.
