Author's note: This chapter was going to be super bloody, but to get to the bloody bit was impossible without screwing with the pacing, so I'll save the bloody bit for another chapter.
Also, I decided to bold the group chat, so it's easier to see when it starts and when it stops.

Luke was chatting online with his longtime friends, Aaron, or commonly more known online X (Short for Xboxfan1997), and Fm (Short for FightingMario54321). Fm also stood for his real-life initials but since X nor Luke could ever pronounce it, they just call him Fm.
Glitchy4: Fm! I haven't had the chance to talk to you!
Glitchy4: How are you? Are you feeling better?
X1997: He was a mess...
FightingMario: Yeah, my first few days back from the hospital weren't too pretty...
Glitchy4:???
X1997: Glitchy, it was like... really bad... I'm pretty sure I him throw up blood once.
FightingMario: Oh shit! 😲 I don't remember that...
X1997: That's probably because you were still drugged up from getting stitches...
Luke froze when X had sent him that message... His mind went back to the book.
"Fuck." Luke whispered to himself... Was Fm turning into a vampire? The book never said how long it took to turn, only the window of time before you turned.
Glitchy4: Has anything else concerning popped up since then?
FightingMario: Yeah, I had a terrible fever... X had to stay over and take of me and Cube... 😣
X1997: I don't think Cube didn't mind; he was worried about you too.
FightingMario: That sounds like Cube alright...
FightingMario: But don't worry Glitchy, I'm doing much better now...
Glitchy4: Oh thank god!
FightingMario: Yeah, Meggy came over with some medicine that couldn't pronounce the name if I tried, after I took it, I instantly felt much better...
Luke raised an eyebrow. 'How did she know how to cure a vampire bite?' Well, he knows what to ask her the next time he sees her.

The first thing Luke did when he arrived at college on Monday morning, was returning the book on vampires.
The librarian smiled when they saw Luke. "Did you learn everything you wanted to know?"
Luke blushed. "Y-Yes..." He looked away, hoping they didn't see his blushing face as he left the library.
His mind was glued on the fact Fm almost died and became a vampire, and Meggy knew how to prevent that from happening.
Speaking of Meggy...
She entered in the building with Mario, who she was dragging along. "Morning..." She said, most likely already tired from Mario's antics.
