Author's note: We're doing a bit of a time skip, for no reason because I thought of this during the middle of the night one time, and I thought it would make for a nice wholesome chapter after the angst and drama the last couple of chapters have been.

Also, sorry this is a day late, I had a migraine yesterday, which prevented me from writing this on time.

That, and I have gotten into playing Pokewilds again. It's such a fun fan-game you guys.

May 24th, 2023

Luke was looking forward to heading home. He was tired from finals already, and it was only half-way through the week.

Besides, today is a special day for him. Today, it's his birthday.

It was one of the only days he truly felt like nothing had changed. Kevin was cheerful and bright, Fm and Aaron always came over and it felt like his mother and father were there.

Although, this year is different. Three is in his life now. But it made Luke a little sad that Three couldn't make it to his birthday celebration because of timing. Don't want people heading home at night, not with Zer0's group killing people.

There had only been one murder since the comic bookstore guy, but with the murderer not caught. It was still considered dangerous to go out at night.

No, matter. Three can visit Luke at his own time. Luke doesn't mind, he likes having one-on-one time with him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Luke came home to see Amanda had set up a banner with some blue balloons on the floor.

"Surprise!" Both she and Mario popped out of nowhere with party hats on.

"Well, did we surprise you? Huh? Huh?" Amanda was jumping up and down in place.

Luke chuckled. "Yes, you did." He looked around the room and frowned. "Where's Kevin? Shouldn't he be home by now?" It was unlike his brother to not be here.

"Don't worry Glitchy, your bro just went to get the cake." Mario put an arm around his friend, reassuring him.

Luke let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank god."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke had gotten a text from Fm, apparently, he was forced to be working late today. Same thing Aaron, no matter. Things happen, not the biggest deal in the world.

Meggy came over and was talking to Amanda. Luke looked over at the clock. Shouldn't Kevin have picked up the cake by now?

"Glitchy!" Mario wrapped his arm around him. "You're worrying too much. Your bro is probably just stuck in traffic; besides it's only been ten minutes."

Luke looked at the clock again. "Yeah... you're probably right..." God, this might be one of the only times he hoped Mario was right.

Another five minutes roll by and the door open to reveal Kevin. "Hey, sorry I'm late. I had to take a detour, apparently, the elevator stopped working and I had to climb the stairs."

Luke hugged his brother. 'Is this how Kevin felt when I didn't return home and spent the night with Three?' He thought to himself.

The rest of the night went smoothly, the cake itself was delicious. Meggy had given Luke a pair of headphones for his present, Mario had given him a $25 gift card to Olive Garden, and surprisingly Amanda handed him a box as well.

He usually never gets presents from his siblings, mainly because money can be tight. "What's in the box?"

Amanda giggled. "It's a surprise, you have to open it silly."

Luke opened the box to reveal a chunky plushie of himself, wearing a blue shirt, with white overalls.

"Ta-da! I made him during Home Ethics class. I call him... Beeg!" Amanda said with her usual flare.

Luke almost let a snort out. "Beeg?"

"Wow, it looks so much like you Glitchy. Mario can't even tell the difference." Mario said. Meggy giggled at his antics.

Kevin let out his own snort. "Yeah, I can barely tell the difference." He joked.

Luke felt his face flush a little. "Shut up." He huffed. Luke buried his face in the plushie to hide his embarrassment.

Everyone laughed at that. Luke smiled, it truly felt like nothing was different.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Mario and Meggy had said their goodbyes. The three siblings cleaned up the mess and headed off to bed.

Luke placed Beeg on his desk. Patting on the little guy's head before laying down in bed. His bedroom door opened, and Kevin popped his head in.

"Goodnight Luke."

"Night, Kev."

Kevin closed the door and Luke looked at his phone to check the time. It was 10:00pm.

That's when he noticed he had gotten a text from Three a few minutes earlier.

3: Is it safe for me to come over? I have a gift for you.

Luke felt his heart and mind racing. What could have Three gotten him?

Sure! It's all clear

3: 👍

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure enough, Three showed up at his door, and he pulled out a box from his back pocket.

The box itself was nicely wrapped with a blue ribbon and bow.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart." Three kissed Luke on his forehead. "I have something special for you."

Luke felt his face turning red. "You shouldn't have." He wasn't sure how money Three had, and the way he wrapped it up so nicely, made him think Three could have spent a lot of money on this.

"But I did." He handed the box over to him. "It will probably help you out in the future."

That made Luke real curious. He gently undid the bow and opened the box to reveal a bracelet, made from violets.

The flower vampires would give to their mate.

"It's beautiful." He murmured.

"Also, don't worry those flowers will never die off. Terrance taught me a trick on keeping them from doing that." Three brushed a stray strand of hair from Luke's face.

"I love it." Luke put on the bracelet; it was a perfect fit. He kissed Three on the cheek. "Thank you. I wish I could give you something in return."

Three smiled. "It's your birthday, you don't have to give anything in return."

Luke hummed. An idea formed in his head; he began to smirk. "Not even some of my blood?"

Three's face began to blush, he turned away from Luke. The only other time he had drank it was after their second date. "Are... are you sure?" He asked.

Luke had a sweet smile. "I wouldn't suggest it otherwise."

Three gently grabbed Luke's wrist, he hesitated for a second. Before he bit down and began to drink. Luke let out a hiss from the pain. It seemed Three had brought out extra fangs or something because it didn't hurt like that the last time.

When Three was finally finished, he let go and looked over to his boyfriend. "Sorry, did I overdo it?"

Luke felt a little headed. "What? No, no. You're fine." He yawned. "I'm... just... sleepy..."

Three guided Luke to his bed, he flopped on to it. Three chuckled. "Goodnight, sweet prince."

"Night, my dark knight." Luke said.

Three felt his face blushing again. As soon as he heard Luke snoring, he opened the door and headed home.
