Luke was texting Three over the phone. The vampire couldn't come over tonight or tomorrow night because of Terrance, who's a werewolf.
Ok, don't hate me for this. But I thought werewolves and vampires hated each other.
Like ya know... in Twilight?
3: Oh god! Hell no!
3: Terrance has been my friend for a long time now.
3: We both were outcasts, so we decided to stick together.
3: To be completely honest, I have no idea if vampires and werewolves are supposed to hate each other...
Ah, ok...
3: Gotta go, Eggy is begging for me to take her out for a walk. Love you. 😘

Luke put his phone down at the table. He got up and locked his bedroom door. He didn't want his siblings to barge in while he's reading the book he 'borrowed' from the library.
Luke wondered if there was a section about vampire's relationships with werewolves.
Unluckily for him, there was none... Great.
Whatever, maybe he can look at something else, or maybe reread the section on vampire mates, for no reason whatsoever.
Luke stopped at a page titled the moon. He decided to read into it.
"Like werewolves, vampires are also effected by the moon cycle. During the waning period, vampires' powers grow stronger, they're at their strongest during a new moon.
Likewise, during the waxing period, vampires' powers are weakened, they're at their weakest during the full moon.
Don't be fooled, vampires can still overpower the average human."
That explains why Luke seemed to have a fight chance when he and Three scuffled. Even though Three was still able to get the upper hand...
Luke got another text... It was Meggy.
"Shit..." Luke had noticed the ginger-haired girl had been avoiding him for the past couple of days, it wasn't until Mario literally trapped them in the back closet of Luigi's shop, Meggy revealed on what she saw.

"You spied on us!" Luke felt his face starting to blush. "Why?"
Meggy growled. "Because I don't want you to die!" She held flared her arms out. "It's simple as that!"
"Three would never try to -" Luke was cut off by Meggy.
"THIS ISN'T ABOUT THREE!!" She yelled. Luke went silent, Meggy let out a couple of breathes trying to calm herself down.
"This isn't about Three. I get why Three wouldn't hurt you. But what about other vampires?" Meggy asked, "What would I tell your brother, if you died? That you got eaten alive by vampires?"
Luke didn't say anything, he looked down in shame, rubbing his arm.
She sighed. Meggy turned to face the door before shouting. "Mario! Let us out now! We talked!"
