Part 17 - Under a Tree

[Ed's view]

"We should have brought an umbrella" Winry said, as the snow started falling heavier and heavier.

"We should find cover, because we won't make it back to the house without becoming a snowball ourselves" I warned.

I looked into the distance and saw a tree just near the river.

"Over there!" I pointed.

We ran under the tree trying to stay warm.

"It's so cold! And look at the river; it's completely frozen!" She said.

I hugged her, trying to keep her warm, which made us both blush.

...

After staying there for a couple minutes, hiding from the blizzard, I announced "I got an idea".

I broke of the nearest branch from the tree and transmuted it into a wooden umbrella.

We ran together under the wooden umbrella, towards the house. It was cold and the snow was deep but we final made it.

We opened the door and a sudden gush of hot air flew past us. It was warm inside.

"Winry?" I said noticing something different about her "Where's you scarf?"

She looked down and realised that it was gone. "Dammit. This is what I get for trying to go on a walk. That was my mums scarf too..."

I could see the hurt in her eyes.
