[Winry's View]
"Uhhh... Well, you know. The usual." He said nervously. 'So you won't tell me either, huh?' I thought. Ed looked at me with a look of both sadness and fake-happiness. Of course they were hiding something.
"Oh, by the way, now that... Pinako's gone... There's a spare bedroom so you and Ed can have your own rooms." I said, trying to keep my enthusiasm.
"Oh, sure, yeah, thanks..." Al said, also trying to keep his enthusiasm.
Talking about Pinako's death was a touchy subject for all of us.
It was silent. But not awkward. Suddenly we all heard a "MEEEOOOWW!!!!" coming from inside Al's armour.
"What the hell?" I said, obviously confused.
"Alphonse!!! Not again!!" Ed winged angrily.
"What?! What??!!" I said, still confused.
"s-s-sorry brother, it was on the side of the street and it was cold!" Al said as he reached into his armour and pulled out a cute little kitten.
"KITTY!!" I said at the adorable sight.
"AARRRFFF!! AAARRFF!!" I forgot about Den. He started barking at the kitten.
I pulled him by his collar and put him outside, then returned to the lounge room.
I went up to the kitten.
"aaawww!!! So cute!!" I admitted.
"Can we keep him, brother??" Al pleaded.
"Yeah, look how cute it is!!" I tagged along.
"It's a her" Al corrected.
"look how cute she is!!" I repeated.
"PLEASE!!" Al and I pleaded at the same time.
"Not happening!!" Ed said, not looking up from his book.
"But why?!!" I asked.
"Because you have a dog, Al doesn't have any cat food, and I hate cats."
Al started whimpering like a puppy.
"Aww, Al don't do that!!" Ed complained.
But he continued.
"Okay, okay!! Keep it, but I'm not responsible for its life" He gave in.
"Yay!! What should we call her Winry??" Al asked me excitedly.
"She looks like an 'August'" I suggested.
"Then August it is!!"
I heard Ed sigh. "I'm going upstairs" he said harshly.
