[Ed's View]
After we just finished dinner, everybody just talked and laughed and enjoyed the night. I was super full from dinner and we haven't even had dessert yet.
"So how's the military, Colonial?" I asked Roy.
"The usual" He said. "No leads on homunculi or Scar at the moment. We actually planned a meeting with that girl Mai today in a nearby town. We met at the library" He said.
"Why were you meeting up with her??" I asked.
"We had a feeling she might be cooperating with Scar, who might be cooperating with the homunculi. When we met up with her, she denied having all contact with with him. Then we found out that she knew you and Al and we told her about your birthday and she just tagged along,"
I nodded as I listened. Then when he finished, I noticed Al talking to Winry. Then they got up and went upstairs.
Suspicious... What the hell is my younger brother planning to do with my girlfriend at my birthday?
Lieutenant Hawkeye turned to me. "Looks like someone is stealing your girlfriend..." Then casually took a sip from her glass of water.
"She's not my girlfriend!!!" I yelled, and stormed off to follow them upstairs.
I hid around the corner of Winry's room. I could hear them talking.
"What did you want to talk oh-so privately about, Al??" Winry said happily.
"Well... Winry..." Al started. I gulped. For some reason, I was scared of what he was going to say. My heart thumped loudly in my chest and I felt... I don't know... Jealous? Mad? Scared, maybe? I don't know.
"I was thinking... When Ed and I get our bodies back, that maybe..." Al continued.
Just what is my younger brother trying to say?
"Spit it out, Alphonse!" Winry said happily but impatiently.
"Okay, I'm starting this out wrong... First, let me ask you a question..."
"Yeah..." Winry replied. I could tell Al was nervous. Really nervous.
"Are you, or would you, fall in love with me?" Al asked. The question was out. There was no taking it back. I froze in disbelief.
"A-Alphonse..." I could tell Winry was as surprised and hurt as I was.
