[Winry's View]
"I love you and I can't deny it." I said. His blank stare turned into a content grin.
In a split second, his lips were on mine again and he was practically on top of me. I took the kiss and I lay beneath him as we kissed silently, and in that moment, everything was perfect.
His lips parted from mine and he whispered soothingly into my ear "I'm glad you love me, because I can't help but love you too"
And we kissed again.
He moved himself off me and we lay next to each other on my bed. Ed's light breathing, the buzzing crickets outside and the sound of wind blowing through the grass and the trees combined together to form an orchestra of soothing music.
I couldn't help but smile to myself.
"Winry?" Ed said, breaking the silence.
"Y-Yeah?"
"I'm so sorry. For you know, not telling you. But I promise, I won't keep anymore secrets." He said.
"I forgive you. Besides, I can't stay mad at you. It's just impossible"
He laughed. "Well, I guess that's a good thing."
It fell silent again.
"Do you think we should tell Al about us?" Ed asked, his question accompanied with a yawn.
"No, not yet. Just in case" I replied.
Ed nodded in agreement.
I don't know what I meant by "Just in case", though. Maybe I wanted to just keep our love a little secret; maybe I was just scared that Alphonse wouldn't be happy about it for some reason.
I didn't even notice that the storm was over.
"Ed?"
"Mhmm?"
"Are we, like, together?"
"You mean like, boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"Well, yeah..."
"Wasn't that obvious?"
I laughed.
"Try and get some rest. It's 2 am."
"I love you, Ed"
"Right back at you," He laughed and turned to me, so our eyes locked. Gold vs Blue.
And I knew that we were together at last.
Ed took hold of my hand and minutes later, we both fell asleep, peacefully in love.
