Enemies to lovers?

We had costume fittings for the school play. We were making our way back to our theater classroom from the auditorium. "I think I pull this king look off." My friend Evan said confidently walking as we walked in our costumes. "Sure." I laughed. Evan looked straight ahead and his smile dropped."Band kids..." He mumbled.

Band kids and theater kids didn't always get along in our school. They thought we were pretentious douchebags and funny enough, we thought the same about them. Taylor bumped into me and fake coughed, "Losers." Her and her band friends laughed and continued walking.

I stopped and turned back to look at them. "Y/N don't." Evan whispered. "And what does that make you band geek?" I said. Taylor stopped and turned back. "Excuse me?" Taylor asked. "I didn't stutter." I replied. Taylor glared and approached me with her friend following close behind.

"She didn't mean anything by it, we'll just go." Evan said trying to tug me away. I pulled my arm away. "I'm not scared of you." I replied. "You should know when to stay in your lane before you open your mouth, nerd." Taylor said poking my shoulder. I stepped forward inches from her face and stared her down, "I really...dare you to fuck with me and find out."

Taylor stared at me in silence and huffed. "Let's go." She said walking off with her friends. Evan looked at me shocked, "I can't believe you just did that." Evan followed as we continued walking. "I'm tired of their bullshit." I sighed. "But the band geeks don't like that. You know they always plan some revenge thing." Evan replied. "They won't do shit." I replied. "What if they ruin our show? We've been working hard." Evan frowned. I stopped and thought about it. It sounded like something the band geeks would try and do.

"Remember the time we put pudding in their brass players instruments? They ruined the theater department's costumes for Hamlet and we all got weekend detention...TOGETHER."He said. I shook my head, "They'd be stupid to try something at our play."

"I don't know..." Evan sighed.

It was opening night of our play. We were all nervous and there was a big crowd in the auditorium. "I'll see you out there." Evan whispered as the lights dimmed and he made his way on stage. I stayed off to the side and waited for my cue.

Once the stage lights were on and Evan began his monologue I looked out into the audience. I saw Taylor sitting in a aisle seat in the middle row. Evan looked off toward my side of the stage and noticed my distracted gaze. He continued speaking and took a glance out to see Taylor. I could see the slight panic in his eyes but he stayed in character.

It was my cue to go and did my best to stay in character but couldn't help but glance towards Taylor's direction from time to time. I would catch her smirking at me every time we locked eyes and it had me worried if Evan was right.

They had something planned to ruin our show. We were both on high alert the entire show but as the show came to an end nothing happened. Evan looked at me confused as our cast took their bows and praise from the audience and walked off.

"What the hell was she doing here?" Evan whispered. I shrugged, "Do you expect me to know? I'm just as shocked as you are." I whispered. I peeked out into the audience and saw them filing out. The auditorium slowly became empty and Taylor was still there. "I'm dealing with this." I said as Evan tried to hold me back. "Y/N stop!" He shouted. I pulled away from him and made my way out to the auditorium floor and saw Taylor getting ready to leave.

"Dumbass!" I called out as I approached her. She turned around slightly shocked and saw me approaching. "Yes, I'm talking to you!" I shouted. She stood and waited for me with a smirk on her face. "I don't know what the fuck you think you're doing showing up here. I don't know if you're just trying to mind fuck us or plot to ruin our show. But so help me god if you ruin these last few nights of our show I'll murder you." I glared.
