You, Frank and Wally are at Poppy's house, helping her bake some sweets. Poppy instructs you and Wally to sit at the table, while Frank and Poppy will place the tray in the oven. Wally sits down and remains quiet while you can't remain sitting still and continue watching Poppy and Frank bake and putting gelatin in the oven. Since Poppy can't get you to sit still, she decided to let you help her out with one more thing.
"Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and just a scoop of peanut butter," Poppy instructed you as you grabbed the ingredients and mixed them together while Frank helped alongside you.
"Will gelatin do?" you asked.
"Gelatin works too, of course, but I always like to spoil myself with a little something extra, but that's just between us," Poppy said, laughing. You and Frank laugh along with her.
"Of course, I'm no gossip," Frank said, "I suppose gelatin can't always be relied upon too. Still, I think it holds perfectly sliced fruit beautifully, I think that ought to mean something! You know what, Poppy, no one understands gelatin's potential!"
"Gelatin has potential?" you asked Frank.
"Yes [NAME]," Frank happily replied, " it's like they say, you eat with your eyes first."
"Oh," you said, as you take your seat while Poppy gives you a plate full of snacks. You thank Poppy before taking a snack.
"They do?" Poppy asked, looking at Frank while you eat. Frank nods. "Oh- well- Now you've got me worried about this new recipe," Poppy said, "it's not very... erm... Well, visually appealing."
Frank places the tray down on the table, "oh no no, forget what I said. We've worked so hard on this. In fact, I bet these could be shaped with one of my copper molds."
"You're right!" Poppy said, "maybe that one you have shaped like a butterfly, Frank."
"Oh that's right! Such a shame butterflies aren't fond of seed, or muffins for that matter," Frank said, while placing the heat resistance mitts next to the tray, "this recipe could have saved my garden."
"Oh dear..." Poppy commented, "you know what? I'll try to think up a recipe that's sure to have them!"
You continue munching on your food, while listening to the conversation.
"To make your butterflies do a-," Poppy lost her train of thoughts and was not sure how butterflies express themselves. "Well, I'm not sure how to tell if a butterfly is happy."
"Whatever you decide to make will have them all aflutter, Poppy," Frank said, "I think our experiment is done too."
"Really?" you said with an excited look on your face.
"You're so kind to say that Frank-" Poppy's expression quickly changed to concern. "O-oh, be careful! I wouldn't want you to burn yourself," Poppy said as Frank placed the tray down.
"I'm alright, you've taken all the necessary precautions to ensure [NAME] and my safety," Frank said as he listed them off. "Oven mitts, aprons, a second pair of oven mitts."
"Perhaps we could use a third pair of oven mitts..." Poppy said, causing you to look at Poppy with a concerned look.
"Poppy," Frank said.
"You're working with such dangerous appliances!" Poppy exclaimed, "who knows what could happen at a moment's notice! Oh goodness gracious, just thinking about it is making my feathers fall out."
You quietly pat Poppy in the back while munching on your food.
"No, no, no. Don't get yourself startled, Poppy," Frank reassured, "I would rather be careful than throw caution to the wind anyhow. Besides, we're all safe and sound here."
You happily nodded your head, even though what you saw and heard earlier. Maybe you're just overreacting or it's just your wild imagination. That's what most adults would tell you whenever you tell them something that is concerning or scares you.
"Wouldn't you agree, Wally?" Frank asked.
Wally is out of his trace again, which you look at Wally with a hint of concern. 'Is this really a good time to address this to Wally or to someone else?'
