You return home from school, you slowly walk home, praying that your mom and dad are not home together. Your heart drops, when you find two of their vehicles are at home. You hesitantly grab the keys and use it on the doorknob and slowly walk in the house only to hear both of them arguing and saying curse words to each other. You rush to your room, shaking and trying to distract yourself by doing homework and reading a book. However, the noise in the background makes it hard to block out and increase your anxiety. You stared down at your homework paper.

"[NAME]!" a voice said.

You try to ignore it, doing your homework.

"[NAME]!" a female voice said.

"Huh?" you said, snap out of it, lifting your head from the script. Only to find Sally, Julie and Wally looking at you with a concerned look on their face.

"You doing okay [NAME]?" Wally asked.

"Y-yeah! I'm fine!" you said trying to laugh it off, "why do you asked?"

"It was your turn to read your line!" Sally exclaimed.

"O-oh, I'm sorry. I must have zone out a bit," you chuckled.

Sally sighs, "can you try not to zone out? We have a couple days left before we have to perform on stage! We cannot afford to make any mistakes!"

"I know Sally and I'm sorry," you said, lowering your head.

Sally's face softens a bit and places her hand on your shoulder, "you know what? How about we call it a day?"

"Sally, are you sure?" Julie asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. We all worked hard today," Sally replied, "we can take it from the top tomorrow."

"Okay!" Julie chirped, "have a great day you three!"

"Bye Julie," Wally said.

"Bye Julie! See you later!" you said with a wave.

"Bye Walliford and [insert nickname]!" Sally said before leaving you and Wally alone.

"[NAME] want to grab something from Howdy's place?" Wally asked.

"Yes, so I can make sure that you don't steal any of his apples," you replied, causing Wally to chuckle.

You and Wally walk to Howdy's place. As you two walks in, you see that Barnaby is already at the store, talking to Howdy. You and Wally greeted Barnaby and Howdy. Barnaby was kind enough to get something for you, Wally and himself (which it is always the usual from Howdy's Place). You and Wally sit down while Barnaby tells Howdy his jokes. You can hear them laughing which causes you to lighten up a bit. Staring down at your [insert favorite food].

"Honey?"

Lifting your head, you see your mom staring at you with a concerned look.

"Are you okay? You haven't touched your food," your mom asked.

"Y-yeah... I'm fine..." you said, taking a small bite of your food. The food is good, but not good enough to satisfy you. There was a moment of silence between you and your mom. You're not sure if it's a good idea to discuss it, but you just can't remain silent. With enough courage, you break the silence, "mom, why are you and dad fighting?"
