16. Sam: Do I like him?
I sit on the stool to Logan's right and wait for him to finish eating. It's kind of awkward just watching him eat, but it gives me a good amount of time to evaluate him.
To start of, he has great skin, I wish my tan could look like his, really deep and warm-seeming; not only that, his skin is really clear too, no scars whatsoever. His hair is perfect to, it matches his skin tone perfectly; it is light brown, like Keagan's; and his cut is cute too, only his is short and lays downwards on his head. Gosh, I didn't notice how great his profile was from my window. Also from the side, I see his nose is long, and straight.
He turns to me, and I look into his eyes; they are a dark copper tone, and sparkle at me. I feel my body lose it's position and I slump down, my head falling into my hands, and my elbows standing on the counter.
"Are you watching me eat?" Logan shows his teeth at me and has dimples appear on his cheeks.
I quickly straighten my back when I snap out of it. "Sorry! I was just thinking about something!" I face away and scratch the back of my head; now I feel sweat coming and I grow a bit uncomfortable.
He laughs louder than before. "It's fine, you don't have to freak out about it!"
I hear a laugh behind and turn to see Keagan laughing his face off. I stick my tongue out at him, and he runs down the hall and through the basement door.
"Ignore him, he should probably get some meds or take a nap or something."
"You shouldn't be so harsh on him, he just likes making you feel embarrassed."
"Are you serious?" I look at him in disbelief. "No way, he is stupid, has that whole little boy attitude and he really bugs me.
He laughs once more, and then looks down to his bowl to scoop out the last of his meal, and stick the spoon straight into his mouth.
"Was it good?" I take the bowl from him and head over to the sink, also stopping at the booth to grab Keagan's leftover bowl.
He nods and when he stands from the stool, he stretches his arms above his head, allowing his shirt to rise some and reveal a sliver of his tan skin, and the black elastic edging to his boxers. I whip head to the side and try not to stare anymore; what else could I do? he caught me looking at him once already, and once is way too much.
"That was great! I haven't had macaroni and cheese for so long," as he brings his hands back down, he pulls down on the edge of his shirt, back over his stomach.
"Well, I'm glad you liked it." I run the dishes under flowing water from the faucet, then reach over to put them in our dishwasher, starting it after. "You wanna watch a movie? We have Netflix."
Logan nods, "What kind of movie though? I don't want one of those chick flicks that girls always obsess over."
I laugh at his comment sarcastically, "Hahaha, yeah right. I don't really like Twilight, so don't go blaming me just 'cause I'm a girl."
"Good!"
We move down the hall and go into the basement, of course, we find Keagan there already... watching Pokémon.
"Keagan, can Logan and I watch TV down here, this screen's bigger." I lean by Keagan so he can hear me over the surround sound.
"No, this episode just started, I'm not leaving now!"
I look back at Logan, who is now venturing the room, and looking into different doors leading to separate rooms.
"Pleeease? If you pause it now, it will still be in the same spot upstairs."
"No, go find your own TV, this one's mine!" Keagan yells back, and turns up the sound even louder, so much as to hurt my ears and make me retreat back to the stairs' end right away. When Logan looks to me from a small bedroom across the room, I motion him and he comes over to me.
"Keagan won't budge, so I guess we have to watch something upstairs." I say loudly over the loud sounds.
He nods and we go back upstairs into the living room where Logan drops himself onto our new black leather sofa. He puts his arms behind his head and situates himself some.
"So, you wanna watch a comedy or horror movie?" I stay on the ground and dig through our drawer of movies.
"Sure." He answers, his eyes scanning the room.
I keep quiet a bit, then ask, "Which one?"
"Oh, um, whatever you want."
"Well, I don't care which! You're the guest," I crawl over to the couch and rest my chin on the side of it, his eyes move to mine. "You pick."
He smiles, then gets off the couch, moving to the drawer and searching through the collection for himself. "mmm, how about Batman? That sound good?"
I nod, and walk over towards him, picking the case from his hand, and going back to behind the couch where the Wii waits. I take out the other dvd from it, and slide in Batman. Logan in that time gets up and flops back onto the couch.
"You like that couch?" I raise an eyebrow while I start the machine and go through all the menus until I get to the main one.
He nods, and both his eyebrows raise when he looks up to me. "Yeah, it's great."
"I'm glad you like it," I stick a tongue out at him and move into the movie's screen. Once the feature starts, I sit beside him on the couch, putting a pillow onto my lap and fiddling with the threads that hang off of it.
