The house was completely shrouded in darkness, there wasn't a single light on. You crept through the main hall, it was eerily empty. You heard a shuffling sound which caused you to whip your head in the direction it came from, you froze as you waited to see if it would happen again, and it did. You slowly crept towards the doorway where the shuffling came from, it looked like it was a kitchen, you couldn't tell by how dark it was however. You peeked around the corner of the doorway, it was so dark in the corner you were looking at but you could still hear the shuffling. You squinted you eyes to help you see a bit better. Once you saw what it was your face contorted to a face of horror and disgust, tears fell from the brims of your eyes. It was Aaron. He was pushed up against the dark corner, he was covered in something, the lines going from his eyes to his chin washed a bit of whatever he was covered in away. "Aaron." you gasped as you walked over to him "What the hell happened?" you questioned as you got closer. "Jamie, s-she-" Aaron choked out, he was out of it, his eyes were glazed over as her stared at the wall. "Where is she?" you questioned with furrowed brows as you grabbed his arm to hopefully snap him out of his daze, but you grimaced. You realized what he was covered with, thick layers of blood, it stuck to your hand. You gagged. Aaron stared at you and pointed to the main hall, a weak mutter fell from his lips "Basement." that was all he said. Now you've seen horror movies, it was stupid to go down into a basement in a creepy house, but you had no choice. Jamir was your best friend, you can't let her die. You stood from where you were, and quickly walked back into the main hall, you remember seeing a door by the bottom of the stairs.
You walked towards the door, a foul smell came from it. You held back from throwing up the best you could as you grabbed the handle. You slid the door open, a loud scrapping sound came from it. You cursed at yourself. You crept through the door and down the old wooden stairs. Your pulse quickened the closer you got to the bottom of the stairs. Once you stepped down from the last step your heart dropped. You saw Jamir on a hook, hanging from the walk. Her blood fell into a bucket that was at her feet. You rushed over to her "Jamie!" you sobbed out as you saw she wasn't breathing, blood stained her skin. You felt so weak. You just grabbed a hold of the legs, hugging them while crying.
You jumped as heard the door to the basement slam shut. You scurried over to the darkest corner in the room, bringing your knees to your chest. Heavy footsteps came from the steps, making you tremble in fear. A man came into the room. He was freakishly tall, he could crush your skull with a singular hand. He had some sort of fabric mask over his mouth and nose, the rest of his face was covered in shadows. He stopped dead in his tracks in the middle of room, he was clearly looking for you. You could hear his heavy breathing. He started walking toward you, but stopped by Jamie. He grabbed her body by her shoulders, easily ripping her from the hook, the sound of squelching flesh filled your ears making you whimper. This caught the mans attention, making him drop Jamie's body, a solid thud coming from her. You cried out as he rushed over to you. You were grabbed by your leg, making you scream and thrash around. This didn't deter the man however, instead he dragged you towards you, his hands then found your waist making wail and sob. He hands then shot up to your face, grabbing your head and making you look at him. You couldn't scream anymore from the force he had on both sides of your face. Tears streamed down your face as you locked eyes with the man, he just tilted his head to the side. You were deeply confused. Why wasn't hurting you? Your thoughts ran wild as the man kept looking at you.
Suddenly you were picked up by the man and flung over his shoulder, panic fluttered around in your ribcage as he started walking back up the stairs. Soon you arrived to a room on the second floor. You thought the worst, you started hitting the man's back "Let me go!" you yelled as you tried grabbing the door frame, but you missed. You were thrown onto a bed, the springs in the mattress squeaked. The man looked at you once more before walking out of the room, closing the bedroom door behind him. A quiet click came from the door, telling you that you were locked within the room. All you could do was curl up into a ball and cry.
