I climb out of bed to the sounds of my dogs barking. I sighed and slipped my shoes on. It was about 8:00 AM so I guess it was best I got up anyway. I clipped a leash to each of my dogs' collars and took them outside. It was freezing. I felt the cold air blow against my face as I walked down the driveway. I make it to the sidewalk where I looked across the street. I made direct eye contact with my brother. Slowly my eyes shifted over to his friend Von. 

 "Whatchu doin out here, barely dressed an shit?" Von asked me looking me up and down. I blushed a bit and crossed the road. "Shut yo ass up. And don't say nun smart either. Hell, yo ass ain't even supposed to be here. You shoulda been locked up still" As I spoke Von just smiled. "Ion know whatchu talkin bout lil girl. I ain't do nun" He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Well, Dayvon. Anytime you say that you definitely did sum." I looked him up and down. He looked good today. I laughed a bit and turned to my brother and grabbed his hand, placing the leashes in it. "Sis, I can't take the dogs. We waitin for sum right now." I look at my brother Durk and then at Von. "Y'all niggas finna do sum dumb, huh?" I said, crossing my arms over my chest. Von rolled his eyes and walked up to me, grabbing the leashes. "I'll be back. If they come just distract em. I'll fix the damn plan." I smiled and turned around, walking back to the house. Von followed behind me as I walked into the house. "Von you ain't even let them use the bathroom.." I sighed and took their leashes off. "Whatever, let em run around ya big ass backyard." I rolled my eyes at this comment and opened the backdoor, letting my dogs run out. I closed the door and turned to Von who had a smile on his face. He licked his bottom lip and looked me up and down. "Put some damn clothes on" He laughed and walked towards the door. "Put some damn clothes on" I mocked him. Von turned around and walked towards me, getting inches away from my face. He looked down at me and I froze. As Von stood there I felt cold metal pushed to my stomach. "Now listen, I ain't got time for yo shit bruh. Don't fucking play with me." I let out a singular breath and Von laughed seeing I was scared. He placed a kiss on my cheek and he put his gun into the waistband of his pants. "I wouldn't do nun to you ma. But stop fuckin playin wit me." I nodded and walked off to my room. I've known Von for a while and I don't doubt his lil angry ass would have shot me right there if I was anyone else. I felt tears form in my eyes so I laid down. I just wanted to go back to sleep.

 I woke up, taking a look out my window. It was dark outside. I got out of bed and walked out into my living room. Someone was just sitting there. I stared at the pitch black outline sitting on my couch and moved slowly towards the light switch, flipping it on quickly. I let out a sigh of relief as it was just Von. Von's eyes opened slowly and I flipped the light off, trying to sneak back to my room. But just as I reached my door, I heard it. "getcho lil ass over here" I sighed and turned around walking over to the light switch and flipping it on again. "Why are you here?" I said, folding my arms over my chest. "Don't worry about it. Come here." Von said sitting up a bit and patting the spot right next to him. I made my way over, sitting next to Von. "What do you want?" I said with a sigh. "Yo. y/n drop the attitude. Yo brother with his girl, so Imma be here with you. Things got a lil fucked up earlier and I gotta make sure you safe." I wish I could say I hated being stuck with Von but honestly, I didn't mind at all. I nodded and grabbed the remote, turning the TV on and playing a movie. I felt Von lay his head in my lap. I look down at him and smile a bit. Von smiled and pulled my face down a bit closer to him. "You want me to kiss you?" I bit my lip and nodded as I looked into his eyes. "Words, ma" I blushed a bit and leaned in. "yeah," I said feeling my face go hot. Von took no time, he leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss.

 Then, there was a loud bang on the door. Von got up so quick. He pulled his hoodie up, gripping the gun in his waistband. "getcho ass in yo room and don't leave till I come get you." Von said, as serious as ever. I ran to my room and once Von heard my door close. He opened the front door. The conversation was muffled, I didn't hear much. But then I heard gunshots. I couldn't tell if they were coming from inside or outside but I was terrified. I began tearing up at the thought of walking out and seeing Von laying there, dead or even just injured. I began sobbing uncontrollably. After about 10 minutes, my door opened and my light turned on. I looked up at Von, teary eyed. He kneeled down, caressing my face gently and wiping my tears from my face. "Why you cryin? You all good lil girl" Von said with a smile on his face. I adored his smile, and him as a whole. I sniffled and quickly brought Von into a hug. He held me close and rubbed my back. "I'm sorry, I just got worried and I-" Von cut me off, placing a kiss on my lips. "Everything is all good. You ain't gotta worry. Now lemme getcho ass back in bed." Von said as he carefully picked me up, placing me on my bed. He kissed my forehead and then my lips before he walked out.

 I walked out of y/n's room and waited a bit, hoping she'd just fall asleep again. After I felt she was asleep I left, locking up after me with the key Durk gave me. I got in my car and went straight to my friends place. He wasn't no doctor but he could get this bullet out my arm. I pulled up and hopped out quickly, rushing to the door and knocking. The door opened and I looked down seeing my boy. "Yo, I need yo help," I said as I pulled my hoodie off, showing him the wound. He sighed and brought me in, sitting me down on his couch and going to grab his "tools" I bounced my knee as I waited. Hoping to get this done before y/n woke up. 

 After about an hour, we got the bullet out, he wrapped my arm up, I paid, and dipped. Rushing back to y/n, unlocking the front door and closing it quietly. As I turned my back on the door and flicked the lights on I seen y/n sitting there, tears in her eyes. "Why yo ass up still?" I said, sitting next to her. "Where you went?" she said, looking me up and down, crossing her arms. She was mad and I could tell but she looked so cute when she was upset. "Don't worry about it" I said cocking an eyebrow at her. She sucked her teeth and sighed, getting up and going back to her room. I stood up, following her, and laying down in her bed with her. "You ain't gotta worry about me, ight? I'm all good" She nodded as I wrapped my arms around her. I kissed her forehead as she drifted off to sleep. I smiled and fell asleep, holding her.
