Part 2: Shadows of Magic (Rogue Cheney X OC)

Chapter 28

Third Person's P. O. V:

Persephone denies as Hope continues to absorb all of her power back, the older woman shaking her head, "No! You can't take your power back. Impossible! I-I crushed you!!"

Hope informs her simply, "Your problem is Persephone, you rely too much on your magic. Whereas for me, magic is only one aspect of who I am."

Persephone screams in a rage as the last of Hope's magic leaves her body and returns to the Foster, allowing Hope to take on her Ether Form.

Persephone gazes at her hands on disbelief before she jerks her gaze up, only to find everyone staring at her and Hope in shock. Persephone growls as she throws her hand out to Hope, "Get her, you fools!!"

Hope whirls around as the entire Akatsuki guild charges for her. She throws up her hands to create a shield to block magical attacks.

The woman Erza is fighting flies right past her, much to her surprise and sends paper birds flying for Hope.

"We should probably help her," Sting says from beside Natsu, Gray and Rogue.

Hope swings her arm and slices an Ether Blade through the birds before she summons a tornado with a Wind Magic spell to blow them and the woman away.

Hope ducks to dodge a dark wizard swinging fire engulfed fists before she knocks him back with ethernano covering her fist. She leaps up and kicks back another dark wizard before dodging a third as they swing their Magic Scythe.

The male Dragon Slayers gape as they watch Hope take on a bunch of dark wizards single handedly. Gray mumbles, "I think she's got it under control."

Persephone growls in frustration as Erza lands beside Rogue, her fists clenched, "Gggrrr!! You fools, get her!! She's just one girl!"

Hope wraps a beam around another Akatsuki member before sue throws him into a bunch of his comrades and they go down with cries, making the Thunder Legion blink their eyes.

Hope whirls back to Persephone as she taunts, holding up her fists that are swirling with ethernano, "We've had this dance before, Persephone! I'm better at magic than I was seven years ago!"

Persephone glares hatefully.

Rogue's eyes widen when he sees the Plant Magic user appear behind Hope. "Hope, look out!"

She dodges just in time to avoid vines wrapping around her and grunts in exertion, slamming a giant ether stream into the man and throwing him back into the Paper Magic user, which sends them crashing to the ground.

Bickslow wonders, "Err, is it just me, or is Hope really taking in an entire guild all be herself?"

Laxus says as he watches the young Wizard Saint dodge more attacks, "It's not just you. She's really doing it."

A Wind Magic user who uses a scythe flies for Hope. She creates a small rectangular platform and levitates it in the air while sweeping ether streams with her fists to block his weapon and land her own attacks.

"We need to figure out a way to get Alec back," Says Erza, dragging her eyes away from the fight.

"He got taken by Daniel, didn't he?" Rogue remembers, meeting her gaze. "It'll be impossible for us to reach them in that Time-Space."

Erza scowls, knowing he's right.

With a cry of exertion from Hope and a bright flare magic, causing the two to look up again, she sends Akatsuki's Ace crashing to the floor, painfully hard.

Persephone's face is white with rage as Hope lowers herself to the ground and stands in a ready stance, hands held outward.

"Alright, then... let's see how you cope with this," She seethes. "Arc of Illusion: White Dream!"
