My heart is racing,
butterflies fluttering in my stomach,
uncontrollable feelings
and I realized I can't be just friends with you.
If being friends is all we can be
then don't cross that line and move forward toward me
for I might take up a wrong hint and lean in.
Stop crossing the line and do the things friends do
for this confusion is caging my mind
If I move towards you will you be with me?
It's hard for me to understand if we're just friends or if there's something more.
You are my best friend
so I allow you to be too close
but what kind of friends text good night before sleep, and make me wonder if it's more than just a friendly keep?
Whichever way I take, I come across you
You always dance in my mind
These confusions are eating me up
and I realized I can't be just friends with you.
