Sound of Silence

When the hustle and bustle of the day comes to a halt,
and the world is enveloped in silence,
There comes a time when the world is quiet.
Yet, the mind is wide awake.

The stillness of the night can be both a blessing and a curse, offering us a reprieve from the chaos of the day while also exposing us to the endless chatter of our own thoughts.
As one sits in the darkness, allowing their thoughts to roam,
There is nothing to hear except the sound of silence.
It's as though you have so much to say,
A heart, yearning for someone to listen to all the thoughts which cause the mind to awake
but there is not a soul to talk to.

The emotions inside are like a volcano, ready to erupt at any moment, and it is a constant struggle to keep them in check.
and the only way to contain the internal storm is to don the cloak of silence.
