Kandor, Krypton, 15 years ago

The Imperial Council was gathered for a meeting to discuss the fate of Krypton. Everyone was shocked when the doors to the great hall were blasted apart before the Kryptonian Elites rushed in with weapons at the ready. They took out all of the Imperial Council's Elite Guards before turning their weapons on the Council members.

"What is the meaning of this?! This is high treason!" A man yelled.

A man walked in with a male and a female closely behind him. "Forgive the intrusion, High Councilor Jul-Us. I have been trying to get a meeting with the Imperial Council for some time now. Unfortunately, I have had to take.... drastic measures to obtain such a meeting." The man with the goatee was smug as he said.

"You now have our attention General Zod. What do you want with us?" A female councilor said.

"I do not have any intentions with you all, but the salvation of our race." General Zod walked to the central computer and pushed a button before he continued. "As we all know, Krypton is dying and will become uninhabitable by no later than twenty years from now." General Zod was direct as he replied.

"Yes, we all know this. We don't need a science lecture from the head of our military, Get to the point, General." A male councilor said with contempt in his voice.

"Yes, of course. We have been searching for an inhabitable world for our people to evacuate to. We have found such a world." General Zod looked at the Imperial Council with contempt before he continued. "Instead of hearing me out, you all have ignored my pleas for an audience and squabbled with one another. This had left me with no other recourse than to remove the Council to ensure that the Kryptonian race lives on." General Zod said.

Everyone was startled when they heard clapping coming from the entrance and the echo of someone walking in. They turned towards the sound and saw a man walk in with the Kryptonian symbol for hope on his chest.

The man looked around. "Forgive my tardiness to the Council meeting. As all of you are aware, Lara has given birth to our daughter three days ago. She is quite healthy, and we have named her Kara-El." The man said as he couldn't help from smiling.

General Zod scoffed. "It is so good that you could make it, Councilor Jor-El. I am sure that everyone here would congratulate you and Lara-El for having the first live birth in many centuries. However, we are in the midst of something a little more important that would secure a future for all Kryptonians." General Zod was dismissive as he said.

Jor-El frowned as he looked at General Zod and the map. "Ahh, yes. I heard as I walked in. However, your intel is a little outdated." Jor-El said as he walked up to stand on the other side of the monitor from General Zod.

General scowled at Jor-El. "What do you mean that my intelligence is outdated? All of the military's and civilian scientist agree that the information is completely correct." General Zod spewed contempt as he replied.

Jor-El pushed a view button as the map switched from Krypton to the nearest red star. "It is true that the fate of Krypton would end in twenty years." Jor-El pushed a few more buttons as the map came to life before he continued. "However, through research, I have discovered that the red dwarf star that we call our sun is about to go supernova before it becomes a black hole." Jor-El was stern as he replied.

Jul-Us walked closer to the monitor and stood between General Zod and Jor-El. "How long will it be before this happens? Is there any hope that Krypton may survive?" Jul-Us asked softly.

Jor-El looked at the simulation. "According to all research and simulations, the red dwarf star will go supernova at the latest a week from now." Jor-El shook his head before he continued. "No, as you all
