Metropolis
An unmarked van traveled through the streets of Metropolis during the morning rush hour traffic. Suddenly, the passenger's cell phone began to constantly ring over and over. The owner answered the cellphone, but before they could answer. The individual screamed at them.
"Joker. What the hell are you doing in my town without telling me?!" the man angrily screamed as he asked.
"Lexi, Lexi. It is so good to hear from you after such a long time. You should watch your blood pressure. It isn't healthy for you." Joker replied.
Lex growled. "That doesn't answer my question. I will ask one more time." Lex paused before he continued. "What the hell are you doing in my town?" Lex Luthor angrily said.
Joker laughed. "Am I not allowed to come and see an old friend from time to time?" Joker asked sarcastically.
Lex Luthor scoffed. "Do you take me for a fool? We both know that you aren't here to come and buddy up with me. What are you planning?" Lex Luthor was annoyed as he replied.
"I am hurt that you think so little of me and our long-standing friendship. Me? planning? " Joker laughed for some time before he continued. "You should know by now that I am not the planning type. I like to go with the flow." Joker was lighthearted as he replied.
"We both know that this has nothing to do with our friendship. Let me guess the real reason why you are in my town." Lex Luthor paused. "The reason that you are in Metropolis is that you got tired of getting your ass kicked by Batman and his sidekicks. You decided to run away from Gotham with your tail between your legs and try your luck here. Does that sum it all up?" Lex Luthor was direct as he said.
Joker growled. "I am no coward!" Joker composed himself before he continued. "It is true that Batman is usually there to thwart my fun, and he has no sense of humor. I have gotten tired of always playing on hard mode with the Batsie. I decided to try the game on easy mode here for once." Joker was direct as he replied.
Lex Luthor laughed. "You actually think that by coming to Metropolis that it would be easier facing the girl of steel over the greatest detective." Lex Luthor was sarcastic as he said.
"W-well yes. I do. How hard can it really be, Lex? It's got to be as easy as stealing candy from a baby." Joker was offended as he replied.
"If you think it will be that easy, the joke is on you. But you are more than welcome to try if you want to 'play' on hardcore mode. " Lex Luthor paused before he continued. "I hope that you remember that The Legion needs to stay a secret or there will be dire consequences for you." Lex Luthor was stern as he said.
Joker laughed. "Don't worry so much, Lexi. I will keep your little secret." Joker said sarcastically.
"You better." Lex Luthor growled before he hung up.
The other side of Metropolis
"Hi, Kara and Trinity!" Someone said excitedly.
Kara and Trinity turned to see Barbara running up to them. They smiled and waited for her to catch up with then
Kara was happy as she said, "Hi, Barbara. It is so good that you could come and join us."
"Yeah, thanks. I didn't think that my dad and Bruce would allow me to come." Barbara frowned as she looked around. "Where is Lois? Was she not allowed to come?" Barbara said warmly.
Kara frowned as she shook her head and replied, "It isn't that she wasn't allowed to come. She is with her dad on vacation. They went back to visit family and spend time at her mother's and younger brother's graves."
